I love Liga Privada, it doesn't matter if it's the #9, the T52 or the brand spankin' new L40 blend is, I love them all. The Dutch distributer of Liga Privada was in Nicaragua a few weeks ago and brought me some unreleased cigars including a fresh rolled L40 lancero, a prototype Ratzilla/Dirty Rat and a La Reloba seleccion Mexico and this big fat Liga Privada 52 with the infamous 6x60 size. I have not heard of this cigar before, I can't find any information online so I guess this is an unreleased cigar. It had a normal Liga Privada t52 band and was wrapped in cellophane, unlike the other prototypes, so I guess it will be commercially released soon.

The wrapper is nice, dark and very oily, like all Liga Privada T52 cigars I have smoked so far. I see one big vein. The cigar smells floral. The construction feels good. The predraw is fine and tastes like tobacco with some pepper and some floral flavors.

I taste a floral flavor with some pepper and soon some bitter chocolate. After half an inch I still taste the flowers but now with a dry and sweet chocolate. The flavors are flat and mellow and don't develop a lot. After an inch and a half the chocolate grows a bit in strength.

Halfway I taste some wood and some floral flavors, the flavors are mild sweet and I taste a little bit of chocolate on the background. The flavors are mild to medium, even the herbs that I taste are mild to medium. After two thirds the cigar gets a bit more spicy.

This cigar lasted me for two hours. The draw was a bit easy and I got a medium smoke, both in volume as in thickness, but the smoke got thicker along the way. The salt & pepper colored ash is compact and firm. The burn is great. This cigar is medium bodied and medium flavored and way more boring and flat than any other Liga Privada I have ever smoked.

Would I buy this cigar again? No I stick to the <60 ringgauges.

Nice review Ferdie. These "jawbreakers" are not my cup of tea either.

This one seem much bigger than any cigar I've had. I enjoyed the Dirty Rat that was gifted to me, so I will stick to thoses if found again.

Thanks for the review Ferdi...
