I haven't settled on a 'go to' recipe for stuffing yet, so I keep changing it up each year. What do you all prefer?

Sausage gets my vote. Never had sausage stuffing until I met my wife. We can't make enough. I practically have to fight my father-in-law for the leftovers.

We usually have 2 types, cornbread for me and something else for my wife and kids.

We have always gone with a traditional stale white bread and Bell's seasoning stuffing.

We usually do a sausage stuffing every year. This year we are doing a Turduken with a sausage and shrimp stuffing.:dr:dr:dr

I do a long grain and wild rice dressing with smoked sausage and turkey bits.

I make sausage stuffing with bagged stuffing mix, chopped up sausage, and diced granny smith apples. I cook the sausage in a fry pan and throw the apples with some onions in the pan to soften them up. Even a mild sausage like breakfast link is good. I'll cheat sometimes and use precooked "brown and serve" kind of sausage.

I go heavy on the exotic mushrooms and linguica sausage. Anise root, carrots, shallots, dried cranberries perhaps...

I use my Mom's recipe (I'd be strung up if I changed it) which is based around white bread and Bell's seasoning. With lots of melted butter and turkey stock, onions, celery, mushrooms and carrots.
