I have never somked a CULEBRA, I've had one sitting in my humidor for the last 8+ years.
What is the best way to smoke one???
I have smoked just about everything out there but never one of these with a twist.

Open it up at a herf, break it into 3 cigars, pass around.

I've always wondered this myself as well. I didn't even know the name for this specific type of cigar until now (after my google search).

I broke it up and smoked one at herf every year or so.

separate and enjoy or keep tied and enjoy. Alternately, use the search function and see the wealth of information people have posted here about that word in the past.

I just separate them, smoke one put the other two back. Bomb them to people that have more herfs/friends over that'll enjoy them.

Thank you & keepp smoking... -(P
Yes, they're meant to be pulled apart and smoked individually, but now I'm curious to see what would happen if someone just lit the whole bundle and tried to smoke all of them at once. Please try this and report back. :D

Yep, now I am too. Tell you what, next time I lay hands on one, I'll do just that and do a little review. :tu
Last one I had was a Party shared with friends and it was awesome!

That is the best way, for sure. However, I have smoked a few still tied together by myself and enjoyed the daylights out of it. Tons o' smoke! :banger

I know most of us actually separate them and smoke with friends, but are they actually intended to be smoked that way or together?

It is often said that the rollers in the Cuban factories back in the day were allowed to roll one cigar a day to take home. The culebra was "one" cigar, but it was three cigars....in the vast majority of instances, they were intended to be smoked separately.

Cool.:tu
I've probably asked that question before, but my alzheimer's made me forget.:)
& hope my O.C.D allows me to smoke a twisted cigar...-(P HA, what you MEAN is you hope your OCD will allow you to have
a 'half-smoked' cigar in your humidor. The incompleteness of it will drive you nuts.
I have to agree with the herf crowd. Although after decades of these type forums,
who knows it there is even a novelty to it anymore. I started 2010 with 5 and now
have but one. Too many deserving friends, I guess. BTW, don't try to smoke three
at a time. Too tough to keep together. They are not as twisted together as they
appear and will not hold.

Someone brought a custom Cuban culebra to one of the early Shack Herfs where the three cigars all came to the same head.
