I dicided to seperate this from my humi help thread, previous pics can be seen here.

And this is what we Look like tonight!
Bathroom area
http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q139/livwire68/cigarlounge024.jpg

Main lounge area and humi closet

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q139/livwire68/cigarlounge023.jpg

Tomorrow I will re-rock the humi area, add some power, mud and try my luck at either painting or tile. Will be planeing down the double french doors to fit the closet opening also. Along with a trip to the flooring store and lowes (lowes at least 10 times in one day cause I am male!) O' I failed to mention my Wife is helping me do the work on this project, She took out all the carpet/padding, linoium, scraped the floors from adhisive and took off all the baseboard, What A Woman!!!!! (By the way, so you dont think I am a slacker, I just started 5-10'S and a 8 on swingshift) The 8 year old kid took off the tack strip around the room and did some scrapeing also. ;) The lounge is a family project, gotta love that!

some of the flooring

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q139/livwire68/lounge003-1.jpg

And pretty much of the flooring complete. I still have to tie in the transitions when the tile sets up. I will also be adding the base board in a couple days and crown molding at some point in time. Also have to hang the double french doors for the humi in a couple days.

About 13 years ago when I met my Wife she knew I was into cigars, I bought a box for the wedding (Louisville, CO) we are from Colorado I met her cruzin' longmont:r! Anyhoo I got out of it for awhile, then a few years later got back in/then out. About 3 years ago I got back in and found most of the fine brothers here (back on the other board) so naturally cliff diving became a specialty and met some people to herf with. I even got my Wife into smoking them every so often. When we bought the house we decided that one of the rooms would be perfect for a lounge (own bathroom, large windows and separate from most rooms in the house, stayed coolest in summer here in Vegas also) She tells everyone I deserve it (I wont argue) The kid hangs out here alot also along with our new male puppy (its a man thing) yes she hangs out here sometimes also. I guess all in all I got a good Wife who lets me do just about anything I want, but I take care of them pretty well also. You could always mention that she is just the gf and to become the Wife that she will prove her devotion to you by letting you have your own area! I seriously told my Wife something like this before we got married, but it went more like this- "if it comes down to you or my guns, you will be gone!" I was serious and we are married (getting ready to go on 11 years now) And before we bought the house we lived in a 5th wheel (we travled the country for work) She let me get a large gazebo with a large patio heater "The smoke dome"

If I don't get it in this house, then the next one I get half the basement so I may just have to be patient and build a sweet lounge in the next house. :r

Just added one more place to sit in the lounge, and now 4 people can recline and one in the computer chair. The theater seating has a bit of a curve to it which kind of screws up the room. But at least they are leather, recline and accommodate one extra Brother! Gotta love craigslist another $475 investment.

Ok decided on pvc coated wire shelving for convience and cost! It also is easier to adjust. I have the main portion done just not sure what to do on the sides (the shelves were 6' and I really needed 8' and I could not even special order. Although I could have gone white 8', but whites not right :)) I still need to add some supports on the back corners, damn studs did not line up right (wish I would have paid attention when I had the rock off) so the back corners are a bit droopy. All but 3 boxes you see are empty, just have them in there for humidity control! Well for the most part that wraps up this project besides a few odds and ends. And of course the main thing-----FILLING UP THE HUMI!!!!!!----

Looks great! I like the inexpensive shelving idea. Love the doors.

Now maybe over time you can replace the 6' wire shelves w/ 8' Spanish Cedar, maybe even one at a time. I would imagine that - within reason - the more cedar you added the easier it would become to stabilize the RH.

Its got a seal suction on it now you wouldnt believe! I have been to B&M's that do the same thing (Or less) that are still in good shape. As long as I use as many boxes/cigars it will stay in a stable state with the cedar aroma (shouldnt need cedar to make the cigar good). I can go from 3-4 weeks if I dont open before, until I need to put in 3/4 gallon of d-water (holds 1.4 gal. This will not be my go to smokes humi. Mostly the start of a collection (which I will burn)
