Super Bowl party at our house, new 60" LED, new Surround, we're pretty serious about our Steelers.
I'm excited to see what our boys do against this air offense, Aaron Rodgers is a mega-stud. I expect it's going to be the best game I've seen all year.
I figure it'll be Steelers 35-28.
You heard it here first. :tu

Call it, brother. You got a score in mind?
I'm kinda concerned that Polomalu edged out Mathews for Defensive Player of the Year, it may make Mathews mad. I hate to give a guy a head of steam when he's coming at your team.
I expect Polomalu will spend all day helping out the secondary, like he's been doing since his ankle got busted up. Hopefully he'll be well enough to play up on the ball and do some blitzing. We're gonna need pressure on Rodgers.

Not exactly how they can call the game super without the Bronco's being involved, but I'll watch it anyway....

Though I don't have hate for either team, I really don't like either team either.... Can't even pick a side. Hope the game goes to OT w/ one of them winning on a touchdown after both get a possession.

We both picked a lot of points. The Steelers only score about 20 and give up about 11 on average. I think we might suck at this. :D

I don't really hate the Steelers or anything, I just think it's time another kid got to play on the tire swing. Quit hogging it, you guys!

This makes sense to me. Too bad they don't like to share.

Good defenses will give their offense good opportunities to score. Too bad GB hasn't seen a defense quite like this one. (Yes, I know theirs is similar).

Look for Antonio Brown to make headlines.

I'm hoping for a blow out, so I'll pick:
Steelers 34 Packers 17

I don't know what the score will be, but I love the Steelers! We're having a big super bowl party at my house, and y'all are invited! It should be a good one. I'll be smoking the ribs at around 1030 on Sunday and the Chili and ribs will be ready for game time! We don't have a big house, but we have a 60" tv and we're packing the place full of Steelers fans!

Scott, we on for our bet? You get the Steelers, I'll take the Packers. Whoever loses must smoke an entire Swisher Sweet tipped grape cigar and it must be witnessed and photographed by another member of this board!

The winner must smoke a Padron '26 #35 Maduro and review according to the old review version from SMOKE magazine and post it here. They also must be witnessed and photgraphed by another member of this board!

So, you on?

I just loaded up my Padron '26 #35 for tomorrow.

Scott, you have a grape Swisher? Or do I need to send you a couple?

You know what, I really don't care if you smoke a grape Swisher or not. Just have a smoke with me in celebration. It was a great game, sweated it all the way to the end.

Will be out on Shawano Lake tomorrow with the ice auger and sitting in a converted pop-up camper with a wood stove in it. I expect the temp in there to be near 80, outside temp probably won't top 20. CoreyD and 14holestogie will be joining me at some point in time tomorrow and we'll enjoy celebrating the Packers bringing the Lombardi tropy back home.

Yeehaw!

Always fun to wake up to a Steelers failure :noon

Did Polamalu and Harrison even play?

Oh, wait - I see Troy getting beat for a touchdown in the highlights.

Harrison apparently had 1 tackle, he must be on the downside of his "supplement" cycle.

Of course there was plenty of Randle El celebrating on display - at least for the 2 catches he made. Way to dance when you are down by two scores jackass.

And what can you say Big "No means no" Ben?

Couple of picks for 14 points going the other way.:td

The only thing better would have been seeing him get his nose broken again.

Can you tell I hate Pittsburgh :D

I am happy for the Packers, although if their receivers could catch the ball it never would have been that close.

Stephen

Yeah, I guess Jordy Nelson forgot to pack his hands for the trip down to Dallas. I thought I was going to have a stroke when Pittsburgh went for and got the two point converstion, followed by the Packers settling for three in the redzone.

That's cold, Wade. I thought you and Brett were chums.

'Grats to the Pack -- I didn't have a dog in this fight. Wait, that's Michael Vick. Anyway, while I'm glad the Packers won -- hard not to like Rodgers and feel good about a ring for Woodson and some of the other long-time players -- I wouldn't have minded seeing Rapistberger get a third ring just to spite the Tom Brady rump swabs in my area.

I know music styling may very. I know that tastes may very.

But, is it wrong to thing that personal musical stylings have no place when singing the National Anthem as a moment of respect?

Personally, I think our national anthem gets disrepected quite a bit when sung before many sporting events - by fan, by performers, and by those organizing the event.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Christina Aguilera is tough to look at, but her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner brought tears to my eyes.
Probably not as many tears as the Swisher Grape I have to smoke cause of the bet I lost to him, but tears nonetheless.

I b1tched about the cover two defense from the beginning of the second quarter, it decimated our blitz and the Pack had zero running game. The only way to Aaron Rodgers is to keep him on his back. We didn't get that done, and he made us pay.
What an amazing job by a young quarterback. It was truly a masterpiece for Packers fans to enjoy.
Everyone here said "Even though the Steelers lost, it was a really good game."
I punched them all in the face and threw them out of the house. :D

Thanks for that, Todd. Beit as it may, I'm smoking that filthy Swisher, at least up till I puke. A bet is a bet, ya know?
Now I just have to find one. I think they have them at our convenience stores here, I'll put it on my shopping list.
Once I find it, we're gonna have to wait till I find somewhere I can smoke it. That might take till the weather breaks a bit, or when I go to Punta Cana in February. I'd just go ahead and smoke it in the garage, but it's too cold, and I might have to burn my garage down afterwards. :D

Anyway, was supposed to post some pics.

Good-looking stick. What a great size with that wondeful box press. But I gotta say, the Padron wrappers and not the prettiest.

First, this was an incredible smoke. After already having had a couple other cigars, I did think that maybe it wouldn't be as full-bodied as I normally think of them. Wooooops! That was a wrong idea. Incredibly powerful for such a little stick. It was "all that" right from the get go and kept it till nubbed. Rich and bold flavor, some spice and wonderful complexity with some citrus, cedar, and leather notes.

Where else would true Packer fans go to have a cigar if they are near Green Bay.

Thought about coming out Sunday night to watch the game there, but decided against it. How many Super Bowls will the Packers be in and in which I be able to sit and watch with my sons? Hopefully, when they are old enough, they'll say, "Hey dad, why don't we go watch the Super Bowl at Titletown so we can enjoy a fine cigar wathing the Packers beat the ______?"

Till that time, I think it was great to be home with my sons and watch the game, high-5ing, cheering, and biting our fingernails together.

So, Tim, Corey, and I ended up over there on Monday for a bit.

One of these times I'll run into you there.
