I need your wisdom please....
I bought these Padilla 1932 Toro's and I was told that these may be rare. I know these were made back in 2007 and it is a Padilla/Pepin blend. I was told that these may be rare because they are in a 13ct box. Does anyone know the truth about this? Here are some pics:

Rarity or difficult to find does not imply any added value when production runs are in the hundreds of thousands. Quite tasty smokes and no reason to save them for a rainy day. :2

Yeah, I wasn't thinking that they would have any added value, just maybe that they were for a certain retailer or something....

The Pepin-made 1932's are hands down my fav Padillas. Actually one of my favorite Pepin blends of all-time. I wish Pepin was still making them.

Looks like those where made in Miami according to the box and I know that not all 32s where made in Miami. So maybe that has something to do with them being special. Either way it is a great blend so enjoy!
If memory serves me correct, the Pepin made 1932's came with cello on and the "After Pepin's" had no cello. Correct me if I am wrong because it could be exactly the other way around, lol.

Not sure about the cello...
The only way I know to distinguish between the two are by the bands. Those happen to be the old bands (Pepin), at least that's my understanding. The newer ones don't have the "Padilla" in that larger orange font, instead their in a much thinner gold font.

I just asked the Padilla rep. He said he has never seen a 13 count box. He has been with the company for several years.

That stick was one of my favorites back then... smoked a new one the other day, not nearly as good.

Did you show him this pic?
As far as cello goes the Pepin ones did not have cello either. Script writing is the new ones the writing in Dans pic is the old (Pepin) one.

The Pepin blended 1932 corona gordas are one of my hands down favorite NC sticks.

I bought a number of the Pepin robustos when they were switching over to wherever they are made now, supposedly Tobacco Tropical... but anyway...
Pepin made had no cello.
New ones had really cheap crappy feeling cello.

I have been in the business for a few years now, and haven't seen a 13 count box. Regardless, they are amazing cigars. Cuban seed Corojo and Criollo = nice!

These 13-count boxes were available in abundance on C-Bid four years ago. I smoked through several of them, as did many others. Good smokes.

I didn't say anything earlier, but I had some, and that's where I got them. I ended up trading them because I didn't like them.
I got a box of Padilla Miamis at the same time because they were all the rage, and they stand as the worst cigar I've ever smoked. :D

Those are the original Pepin rolled bands.
They're special smokes, but not truly rare.
If I had a box like that they would be smoked
for special occasions only. That way they would
last a couple of years. Padilla isn't making any
more of this blend.
Enjoy them, but don't waste them.
They would make an excellent gift for a BOTL that
would appreciate one, too.
IIRC, there is one of these left in my humi, somewhere.
The other one was smoked on vacation last year.
