I would rather watch the Packers play the Bears in the sense that it would be a more exciting game than playing Seattle.
But I want the Packers to win and they have a better chance if they play Seattle.
Hope the Packers don't get too cocky and become choke-meisters

I saw the same thing but I live in Milwaukee...90 miles from Soldier Stadium.
They predicted just some flurries today here, and we're getting really dumped on....maybe 8"-9" plus 20mph winds.
If they can't get the prediction right 24 hours before, how are they going to do it for 6 days? Roll the dice!

Nice Todd!

Well, that isn't going to happen. Seems that while I was gone this past week, brats are an easy thing to take out - thaw quickly and cook up for supper when nobody thought to take something out before leaving for school (my wife teaches, so when I'm not home, everybody leaves for "school"). So, the last package of venison brats got eaten this past week.

I thought there were a few packages left in the freezer, but with the boys appetite for them, and my stupidity to say, "You've never made your own venison brats, you give your meat to who to make them? Try some of these, you can do the same thing yourself. (handing over a package of brats) If you like them, I'll give you my recipe."

Doh!!!

So, son Timothy's birthday was Wednesday, and so he got to chose tomorrow's game day menu. It looks like wings as appetizers and we have some pork steaks and some chicken thighs heading out onto the grill - homemade mashed potatoes (with the special seasoning), green bean casserole, and that apple/Snickers/whippped cream etc... salad (with a candle in it) for birthday celebration dessert.

Go Pack!

Can you remember how many Superbowls were great games? Very few.
Now that it's almost certain Pittsburgh will be the Pack's opponent I know right now the game is going to be one sided.
I take it back that today's game would be the Superbowl. The Packs didn't play well at all in the second half. It was only the Bear's incompetence that allowed the Packers to win.
So now we must endure two weeks of hoopla like a bloody election. And then the game will be one sided. No one is going to take Pittsburgh for the win.
Or the Packers will be over confident and choke.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Packers fan. But the whole point of the Superbowl is that you're watching the best of the best and it should be exciting. Is this game going to be exciting? Probably not...but I hope I'm wrong.
I live in Milwaukee and everyone is going to be acting all nuts for two weeks. Cheeseheads everywhere.

Uhh, you realize that the Steeler did the EXACT same thing in their win over the Jets yesterday don't you? Built a sizable lead only to watch the other team chip away at it the entire 2nd half. Not to take anything away from the Bears because they played a helluva game, but the entire 2nd half you could tell that the Packers were playing not to lose, instead of attempting to go for the jugular. Playcalling got real conservative on both offense and defense. Fortunately, when the defense actually needed to go out and make a couple of stops at the end they were able to amp back up and do so.

My brother and I were watching the game, and noticed that Rodgers didn't look like himself. We both were wondering if that bump on the head didn't give him another concussion. Maybe only minor, but that's what we figured anyway. That would definitely make more sense of their play.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

And to really clinch the mediocrity...the Black Eyed Peas? Oy Vay. Bring back Paul McCartney. Na na na na na na na......

So, are you saying that the Packers are going to dominate that badly that it won't be a close game? Wow!!! Hate to say it, but this is going to be another nail biter, right up to the end.

I think big Ben is a greater threat than is Vick. No, he isn't as good a passer, he isn't as fast, but he's a big man and is able to bring something out of nothing with his feet - especially when there is a need.

Then there is the defensive side. I think the Steeler defense is going to give us fits. Not sure they have the backfield to handle our receivers, but that's all they'll need to focus on because they can shut down our lackluster running game in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I want a Packer win in the Super Bowl, but I'm not betting on it being an easy thing.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

I think the offense will be ready for the Steelers defense. After all, we play pretty much the same defense that they do. You're right though, Roethlisberger is a load to bring down and his ability to keep plays alive is scary.

I like your optimism and pray you are correct about the offense.

I do think that this will be a close game though.
