I just realized I am totally under his control.
Steve is my idol, or so he has brainwashed me into believing.
I have been assured it is not a cult.

I own:
MacBook
iPad
iPod Classic
iPod Nano
iPod Nano w/ Video
iPod Touch (for grandson)
Airport Extreme

In the next month or two, on my list:
Apple TV
Airport Express (for stereo speakers to play music via iPhone or iPad)

Can't wait for Steve to come up with another gadget.

How much have you contributed to Steve's bottom line?

Been a Mac user for as long as I can remember (15+years). I am a graphic designer so I tend to favor the Mac for work anyway. Right now in my house in service we have my 27" Imac Quad Core. My wife is now using my old 21" White Imac. Forgot the specs on this one and I also have a 15 inch MacBook Pro that I use when I am out of the office. We have also have a small collection of Ipods in the house between the two of us. I do have one of the old gray G4s upstairs in a closet collecting dust. Sadly, even if Verizon gets the Iphone I will probably jump on the Droid bus before I go Iphone due to the whole Flash issue or lack there of for the Iphone but I do love my Macs.

I like them quite a bit. I wish I could have the netflix compatibility of the new one on the storage of the old one. My son has severe Autism, and he destroys DVD's. I either buy the shows he likes on iTunes or rip the dvd's before he sees them. This way I always have his shows, many times he would be trying to watch a movie, and the disc would look like it spent some time on the belt sander. Usually led to a big meltdown. Now things are much better.
The only downside to the new one, if you want to listen or watch something you own, it has to be streamed from a computer, which means my old macbook stays on sucking power most of the time.

Here's the best way I've ever heard it told:

You want your computer to do what you tell it to do.
With a windows machine, you have to worry about the thing getting too infected to to do what you tell it.
Linux requires you to teach it how to do everything you want,
and apple does what you tell it to.

My favorite combo, is an apple main computer with a Linux machine on the side for play.

Thinking about getting a Mac Mini with part of my tax refund. Seem like for the price, a good entry into Macs. I used to do graphic design work and we used Macs exclusively, but I've never owned my own.

Edit: and I've got an iPhone 3gs and an old iPod.

iPhone 3gs and I'll buy the newest model of iPhone whenever my contract expires. Hopefully Verizon will it by then. This will be the only money Apple will receive from me.

I love me some Apple stuff. I don't keep a stockpile of it though, I get rid of stuff when I upgrade.

So I have a MacBook Pro from May 2010 and an old 80GB iPod. All of the family has iPod's as well and we are getting a Mac Mini for the living room soon.

I owned 3 iPods over 3 years, every one of them failed in some way shortly after warranty. I understand that the warranty does last a generous period and the issues were all known to happen around a certain number of hours of operation for the older generation iPods, but that was the end of Apple media players for me. My Zune has thousands of hours of operation on it and still runs quietly and perfectly. Of course, I use Pandora on my phone now so much...

Was never willing to spend the extra money on a Mac computer when they were good for graphics and design, now the only thing they can truly tout is the long battery life on the MBP's, and that's not something I care about so no Mac computers for me. The iPad is nice, REAL nice, but I don't need one for any reason that my laptop isn't every bit as useful.

I would have owned an iPhone if Verizon had them back in the day. Now I have a Droid2 and absolutely love it, so I wouldn't buy an iPhone even if they came out on Verizon right now.

Mostly, Apple hasn't done much to attract my business.

You'll love it.

Funny story.
On my flight home this week, a couple next to me each had that larger Sprint 4g one.
The image on my screen looked LED HD, better yet, looked IMAX vs theirs that looked like the first color tv. Amazing glaring difference.
Also noted we were both refreshing at same speed.
