I smoked the Cain Habano sun grown 464t (http://www.sigarenliefhebber.nl/donblog.php?misc=search&subaction=showfull&id=1291921620&archive=&cnshow=news&ucat=1&start_from=&) recently and now it was time for the other Cain Habano sun grown nub. This 4x60 cigar has a 7 euro price tag in The Netherlands. It is made by Oliva, like all Cain and Nub cigars and Oliva will keep producing these even though the face of Cain and Nub, Sam Leccia, recently left the company.

The wrapper is nice, dark and oily with some few thin veins. The construction is, as can be expected from any Oliva product, flawless. The cigar has a smell that reminds me of a barnyard and wood. As any Cain and Nub, this cigar has a band on the foot. The predraw is fine, quite tasteless except for a little bit of pepper.

I taste pepper and an earthy flavor, full flavored and strong. After a quarter of an inch I also taste some dark chocolate. The pepper fades away, I taste earth, dark chocolate and something sweet.

Halfway the chocolate becomes a bit stronger. Near the end I also get some nut flavors with the dark chocolate and the earthy flavor.

This full flavored and full bodied cigar lasted me an hour and fifteen minutes. The salt & pepper colored ash is firm. I got a lot of thick white smoke. The draw and the burn are great and the ash is firm.

Would I buy this cigar again? I liked the 464t better because of the shape, I am no fan of fat smokes.

I have not ventured into the Cain nubs... I love the Cains, and most of the Nubs have been great so far. I guess it is time to wonder that direction.
