From Altadis USA:
"The new A. Turrent Puro Maduro is named "Triple Play" because the entire blend - wrapper, binder and long fillers – is comprised of fine, hand-selected maduro tobaccos. An ultra-premium San Andrés Morrón wrapper surrounds a blackened Connecticut Broadleaf binder and long fillers from Nicaragua, San Andrés and Honduras."

Toro: 6 X 54
Wrapper: San Andres Morron
Binder: Connecticut Broadleaf
Filler: Nicaraguan, San Andres and Honduran Maduros

I was handed this one by Alejandro Turrent at the Las Vegas Big Smoke! Very nice guy!!!

Pre-draw was smooth. After toasting, I noticed the great aroma and floral perfume of this cigar!

The first third gave off a great spicy taste of barbecued almonds and leather! The floral still stayed with the finish!

Near the middle of the cigar I lost some of the barbecue and spice and enjoyed leather and floral notes with just a hint of cocoa!!!

The last half of the cigar was hard to put down! Few cigars end smoother at the end, but this one is the exception. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience!

Total smoke time: 2 hours
Construction/Appearance: 10 out of 10
Flavor Balance: 9 out of 10 - Very Nice complexity!
Strength: Medium/Full
Over all experience: 9 out of 10

I will buy these for sure!!!

Nice review, Darrell...been wanting to try one of these. Wait a minute....did you just say you picked up barbecued leather?! :r

It's possible I'll get torched for ribbing you about this by a couple of guys on here if they see it. There's two words I wish had never come out of my mouth in front of the guys at the shop and they are: "pitted prune." I'll share the story one day when it's appropriate. Til then, I'll stop jacking your thread and seriously....great review and anticipate trying one even moreso now that I've read this! :tu

Mental note - despite Dice's taste in beer, try these cigars when they come out.
