Purchased one at a yard sale for 20 bucks. I have two questions that I need some help with:

1. The temperature gauge only goes to 66F. Is this OK for cigar storage?

2. I also plan on lining it with Spanish cedar and drawers. Can someone provide a helpful link? I can't narrow down my search to see someone elses project.

66F is fine for cigars. Keep it under 70F and you are good. I wouldn't trust the thermometer on unit however. I would purchase a good re-calibratable hygrometer that reads temperature as well as humidity.

As for cedar, drawers can be had from either ChasDen or WaxingMoon. Lining isn't necessary, and I personally think it looks better without.

Thanks. I sent a PM. Went to their website, but didn't show that they made drawers for that size.

I made my conversion. Temp and RH are spot on 65/65. Now just need some drawers and shelves. Not a big vino, but will work out well for 20 bucks.

Hard to do with an iPhone. Nothing eyecandy worthy yet. Using empty cigar boxes as trays now. Like I said not big, but nice for a 20 dollar 12 bottle Vino.

Yeah, those are not links. They need a domain on the internet before you can post them.

Thanks. Now if I cam get some drawers. How did you get drawers for this size? The website only lists for minimum 18 bottle size cooler.

WaxingMoon (http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=36634) will build you some. I believe Chasden builds them reasonably as well.

This was the third thread below at the time of this post. You may want to browse this forum a little further.
