Actually yes... One of my other hobbies is building bluray lasers.. I was gonna post a video of me lighting a cigar with one very shortly :banger

I thought of this at first. Saw it on ...The wire season...2 or was it three? Except it was a cigarette.

Be careful kids. A lot of the lasers out there are very unsafe for your eyes. Seriously, You can blind yourself.

This. These lasers that do this are class 3, they can burn flesh.

They're not that hard to build... I've made quite a few... If you simply want a laser to burn things with reds are pretty cheap and easy to come by..: bluray's are the best burners though and ca
n get quite pricey... Either way these things aren't toys... I've been building and playing with lasers for some time.. A fraction of a second of eye exposure and you're left with permanent damage...

Lol.. I noticed I said that after typing it... What I should have said is: lasers are toys, they're frikin awesome toys! But proper precautions should be taken so no one looses an eye ;)

I love playing with the green one we have at work, especially when their's a fire near by so all the ash is in the air and catches the beam, awesome stuff!

This blue one is like that w/o the fog/ash/ mist. Extremely dangerous. F'ing bright. the thing comes with a training lens.

Group buy huh... you a member of LPF? And yeah, high power portables really have no purpose other than allowing you to be the cool guy with the burning laser

oh, ok... I have a cpf account but I dont think I've ever posted there. I wouldnt try to light a cigar in your mouth with that thing... a few mm in the wrong direction and it could be a very bad day for you lol... My highest power bluray puts out about 800mW, but that thing will destroy a retina within milliseconds, burns flesh pretty quick too... I've lit small cigars/cigarillo's with it, but not while they were in my mouth... too big a risk to try it.
