I believe they are spicier.

Have only smoked a couple padrons and they weren't 3000's. The famous nic 3000 was told to be made by oliva and confirmed to me by one of their reps. This cigars is widely known to be one of the best bargains around on many boards.

I'm not Duane but I think the Nic 3000's are actually a better smoke than the 1000 series Padron's. They need a good nap but they bounce back in a fantastic way.

I haven't but based upon the reviews for the robusto, they're worth a try.
