In four weeks time I go back onship and the rumour has it that there will no longer be internet for the crew, head office says too costly...........so I may not be around while I'm working.;s

The only good thinh about this is that you can't kick my a55 during that time. Other than that, you will be missed. Be safe Dave. I'd call you sir but I know darned well better not to!

Remedy:

Get lost as sea for several weeks.
When they find you, say you used to use Google maps to find your way around.

Solved. Internets are back!

I hope the rumors are false. It would suck to go that long without hearing from you Dave. You would think taking it away from the crew might negatively affect morale. If they never had it to begin with it wouldn't be as big of a deal, but I'm sure you're not the only crewman who enjoys accessing the internet during downtime.
