The Bears won an exciting game tonight. I ain't sayin' they will go undefeated, I am saying they look good to win the division and play well in the playoff's. Bear down, Chicago Bears!

That's what we needed too. Forte needs to be a key to our offense if we want to win. Also a good quarterback:r Martz should know by now what works and what doesn't:sh

Just bumpin' the thread for some NFC Championship game banter. I am definitely rootin' for the Bears but also think they have a legit chance of heading back to the Super Bowl this year. Whatever happens, it will be fun. My prediction, the Bears prove they deserved the NFC North title and win 16-10! Bear down Chicago Bears!

I have been giving the Pack their props all along, they are a very good team. Should the "unthinkable" happen, and the Bears win, hope y'all will be as gracious losers as you are winners. ;)

I truly believe the Packers have the better team, but this is that time of year where anything can happen. Being Bears vs Packers, whoever wins this game will have earned it.

Honestly, I'm the last guy who normally talks trash, it's just so freakin' cool that both our teams are in this game, just amazing. Worst part is, I have to work from 1:30-10:30pm on Sunday, one good thing is that I work in a call center so we have TV's all over and the game will be tuned in.

In the end, I just hope it's a close game that's decided late in the fourth quarter. For the Packers, we need a solid performance by special teams (or special ed as we refer to them), Rodgers needs to have his game on and our O line needs to protect him. For you guys, I think the biggest key is which Cutler shows up. Either way, let's just both be happy that the Vikings are not even in this conversation! :r

icehog3
01-19-2011, 03:03 PM
Sucks that you have to work, Wade, hope you can make a little noise in the call center.

I think special teams and turnovers will determine this one. The Bears also will have to adjust to Rodgers ability to chew up the field with the short pass and the slant, or the Pack will march up the field all day long.

I am hoping for a great game, and if the Pack should win, I will still be rooting for the NFC to win the Super Bowl. :)

Love to watch Brett play, but...

If Brett would have played in Green Bay that year....

OK, let me put it this way. Who is more mobile, Favre or Rodgers? Rodgers! Who is younger? Rodgers! Who got sacked over 50 times that year, because the Packer front line was having problems? Rodgers! Who would have needed a stretcher by the end of the first week, and a body bag if he'd have lasted longer? Favre!

First, we don't all know the whole story. But I think that it was best for him to move on - nowhere or to the Jets - for his own personal health.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Tom, you're more of a man than I am. I couldn't root for either the Bears or Vikings if they were going, the Lions...ugh, fine, don't really care. I had a pretty good cigar bet with a hardcore Bears fan, he congratulated me, but said he wouldn't be rooting for the Pack. I told him I understood and felt the same way. I do with Cutler could've finished the game, I can't imagine why he wouldn't get an injection and get back in the game. Not sure what else to say, hard to type while trying to see through tears. I'll sleep well tonight.

My most heartfelt congratulations to the Bears for a hard fought game and a great season. Nothing to hang their heads about, they played tough as everyone thought they would. Everyone wants to get to the Super Bowl, but as we know, only one team from each division will make it. Making it to the divisional championship game is no small feat. Again, congratulations to the Bears and their fans for a great season.

Pro Bowl next week, Super Bowl the following week.

Sorry, my confused smilie was meant for Tom pulling for the Pack in the Super bowl. Football season is over for us Tom, on to baseball:r

Thanks for the thoughts, Wade, definitely a better year than Bears' fans were expecting back in September. Now, go bring home the Lombardi trophy for the NFC.

Actually, the topic here is "Bears Win!", Wade...and we certainly cannot get back to that. ;) :r

Should I add "don't" to the thread title, Warren?

Sadly, it would be fitting.

The Pack is back; again congrats and good luck in the SB.

Congratulations to Bears fans. Nobody this preseason was picking the Bears to do anything, let alone make it to the Conference Championship game. Just goes to show that playing hard nosed defense still goes a long way in the NFL, in spite of what talking heads would have you believe. Not too often are the Bears and Packers relevant at the same time, but when they are, makes for some great games.

And some horribly disappointing ones!
