Been eyeballing these for some time now. Wondering if anybody has experience with the Augusto Reyes line up. I see there a 20 stick sampler for $40 at CI.

He makes a lot of Thompson's house brands. ;)

What's wrong with that? ;)

:r Great review BTW. :tu That is the case with most of their sticks. Always loads of free sticks packed inside whatever they are selling. It's the "too good to be true" deals. :D

I have not had one but my friend loves the Nativo version (black band). I end up grabbing him a fiver whenever I have a CBid order coming.

Hahaha to be fair, I don't think he makes the Don Loogie. He does make the Empressario which is almost as bad. Reyes and Victor Sinclair make about 50% of Thompson's stuff.
I have noticed that they've stopped dropping Reyes' name in the ad copy of said cigars. Maybe he's trying to distance himself from them with his new brands? I smoked a few Nativos and didn't care for them. I would be willing to try the other self-titled lines though. Most cigar makers get better over time.

I tried to smoke a Nativo, once. It was awful. I have renamed him Disgusto Reyes.
