Coffee Rubbed New York Steaks


2 New York Strip Steaks
- 1 tbsp Peppercorn
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp coffee beans
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Salt to taste



Directions:
Grind and mix the coffee beans and peppercorns and add 2 tbsp olive oil to the mixture. Rub the New York strip steak with the coffee and pepper mixture. Splash each side of the New York strip steak with a dash of lemon juice and add salt to taste.
Preheat the grill to medium-high and sear each side of the New York strip steak for 1-2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium and grill each side for 6-8 minutes, flipping the strip steaks only once.

When at Le Cellier at Disney last year, I got the coffee rubbed steak. I wasn't as fond of a steak prepared this way.
