This humidor is going to be another fun build..... Curly Maple & Walnut... always a classic combination. This curly maple looks nice and clear and has a lot of curl.... I can't wait to bring her to life....

She's going to be 26" x 12" x 12" and should turn out to be a 535 count humidor.

She's going to get a lid stay, base molding and trays out the wazoo....

This one is going to the UK!

Stay tuned for more!!!

Excellent. I really like the look of the Curly Maple, and I'm pretty sure when I finally get the cash together for one of your works of art, it will definitely be the main wood on my humidor.

Looks like #52 will be a phenomenal looking humi!

Anxious to see the build on this one Ed. The process you use for staining and poly will bring out more of the grain for the maple, correct?

I spent the last couple of days milling wood down to size.... there are a lot of parts to these things.... each side has four pieces.... and we haven't even started on the lid or the spanish cedar.

I went with a double "V" groove on the base of this one.... rather deep... I wanted to break up the base a little bit, as I had to make it a little over 3" in order to get the 12" height as ordered.... Hard to find curly maple wider than 10".... but, where there's a will, there's a way....

Cut and glued in and sanded down the splines.... drilled the hinge holes and cut off the top.... she's coming along very nice.... start working on the lid next..
