If you have not tried it, go buy a few bottles. You will not regret it!

Many years back I tried it for the first time and BLAM, I've been loving S.S. ever since. By the way, I paired it with a Padron 2000 natural and they got along very well.
Yes this is a great beer....

I am glad to see you all enjoyed this Stout as much as I did. I was simply playing video games with a buddy at his place knocking back a few Guinness Extra Stout's and his wife came home and sat down near us with a 4 pack of the Samuel Smiths. So of course I had to convince her to give me a couple bottles in trade for some Guinness.
Too bad the Samuel Smiths is sooooo expensive lol.
It was one of the better beer trades I have done.

Try the Taddy Porter, if you haven't. That's my fave, though I love 'em all.

Excellent brew, as are all the SS brews. A bit on the expensive side though.
Peace of the Lord be with you.

I just drank 3 more very limited stout's... and I would just like to say that all 3 did not even come close to Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout....
Although... I did see an interested new arrival at the liquor store... Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout... I might need to try this...

I made a homebrew clone of Samual Smiths Oatmeal Stout yesterday.

I grabbed a 4 pack last night and I had to comment on this thread! The SS Oatmeal stout is one of my favorite beers. As a matter of fact, I bet my corner liquor store keeps in it stock just for me lol. :r
Definitely one for a beer lover to try. :banger

Sammy Smith's is the shiz-nit-o-bang. Both the stout and the nut brown.

Been drinking this for years--in fact, one of the first beers I ever tried. It probably will always top my list of favorites!

Nah Tom, it was good but eh I'm fine just drinking the one I had. I prefer their imperial stout over the oatmeal.

Noone has mentioned the Winter Welcome? Stout is my favorite with Taddy Porter a close 2nd. years ago you used to be able to buy the big bottles for 2.99. We would buy 12 of them and you are set.

I have yet to have the Wintert Welcome. I almost grabed it a couple of time but never pulled the trigbger. The Oatmeal stout on the other hand is one of my favorits , goes great with a cigar.
