Do you remember action movies in the 80's and 90's? Okay story, but lots of fighting, shooting, and explosions?

Well the Expendables is a modern action movies which resurrected everything you loved from those cheesy Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, etc action movies of your past.

You get an all star cast of BAMF's. You get blood and guts and explosions.

You get a typical action story with a bad ass cast.

Looks like the kind of movie that you shouldn't go to with high expectations...just sit back and enjoy the ride.

That's how I viewed "Hell Ride", a takeoff on the old biker flicks. And with that attitude, I enjoyed it a lot.

Another cheesy, guilty pleasure I am looking forward to is the release of "Machete" next month.

Exactly.

The only thing I went in there saying is "I hope they blow some stuff up and shoot people" and true to the cast, they did.

Also, I can't WAIT for Machete. It looks so awesome. Plus Michelle Rodriguez is in the movie. :dr :dr :dr

Hard to believe someone would be so pumped for The Expendables and have zero interest in Machete.

Cast of Robert DeNiro, Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Cheech Marin, Steven Seagal, Michelle Rodriguez, Jeff Fahey, Don Johnson, and more action than imaginable should make it a wonderful guilty pleasure IMHO. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.

.You know Tom, I watched Hellride for the first time this weekend, and then I checked
to see how other people viewed it. 90% of the people hated it, but I loved it because I don't care
what 90% of the people say, I am watching it for my OWN entertainment. I DID think it was way
over the top but it was fun to watch. I would not have found out that most people hated it but
for the fact I needed to know where I knew the actor playing the lead from. Apparently he has not
done a lot of films.

I was shocked to see her in Avatar, too. I thought after getting basically kicked out of LOST,
that she might be done for awhile. But there you go.
