Obviously not looking to stir up a political discussion here, but if one were looking for a political discussion board in itself, where would you go?

A legitimate question.

In case some of our newer members are not aware, political discussion is not permitted at Cigar Asylum.

I participate in the political discussion on ICC. It is fairly lively.

There's a political discussion section at the Panthers forum that I visit but it's pretty much name calling (all in good fun) and repetitiveness. Not much serious debate going on there.

I applaud the bosses here for NOT allowing political debate at CA. I won't name names, but other boards that I frequent have political discussion forums, and the discussions get downright nasty. Whenever someone has to stoop to personal, ad hominem attacks, then they're simply showing their lack of knowledge of the subject, or lack if intelligence, or both.:=:

The political section at the Panthers site pretty much is hardcore left vs. hardcore right, yet the entire section is a trash Glenn Beck site. Liberals think he is a nutjob and so do conservatives. It's kind of hard to have a serious political discussion when 90% of the discussions have to do with Glenn Beck.:r

Careful, Andy.
Let's not get into details of the politics or I'll have to shut this down. Feel free to share the details with the OP via PM.

I have yet to see one person have their opinion change due to a debate on a political thread. Just threads spiraling into nastiness. Why bother?

I am a big blogger on our city's largest news site. I am on there quite often. Have to put that Pol Sci and Philosophy degree to use...

We can carpool together, Frank. Then we can stop being depressed because we lose to ourselves all the time :r

Ha, you should have been on the board during the Bush/Gore election when they were announcing Gore the winner. Lot's of late nite drunk posting and many deleted threads so the posters wouldn't end up in jail. :D

I was watching closely when the last election results were announced. ;)
