View Full Version : Money is not an object
Since money is always an object for 99.9% of the smoking world. Let's pretend, we have unlimited or at the very least Bill Gates type money. What cigar would you choose to smoke? What would you choose more frequently? And of course the question "What would be the first one under those circumstance's?"
For me it would be the Cohiba Double Robusto from the 30th Anniversary collection as a CC and for the non-cc's since I'm such a cigar slut I can't think of anything I've wanted and haven't tried. Save for hard to finds. Probably would smoke more Anejo's. Forgot about my precious Padron's.

Any from the Holy Trinity is a given, but really I want to try a bunch of pedestrian smokes from the 80s and 90s such as PSD4s and Monte 2s

Probably tastes like dirt that K. Hansotia "luxurified" with douche baggery. (Don't get me wrong, there are Gurkhas out there that I enjoy, but I would NEVER pay over a few bucks for his cigars. Again, just my opinion.)
I would probably just smoke Esplendidos or Davidoffs all day!

I do apologize for the lack of originality. But it is a fun question and I hope the three questions from the premise offer a little spin from the "desert island" proposition.So I ask you " would you change your smoking rotation?" under the proposed scenario.

It would be easy to pick anything from the Trinity, but as I haven't seen, much less smoked any of the Holy Grail sticks, I'll go with:
* Davi 3000
* Dunhill Mojito
* 2000 Festival Marevas
* Cohiba Sublimes Extra

I'd get some 26's and 64's. That's about it.
Then I'd send Tom and Vin to find those Holy Grail smokes so everyone can try them. I just assuming they'll have the good sense to bring back hookers and party favors.

Hmmm, for me since I have yet to slide down the forbidden fruit slope, I would venture to say that my smoking habits wouldn't change too much. Yes, I would experiment with some more higher end smokes but I like what I like and I'm not sure if an ungodly amount of money would change my preferences of what I smoke most often although I would no longer have to save the Padron Annies and such fir special occasions.. I would smoke more since now I am Bill Gates rich and will have to work far less but for me, my first purchase would be a monstrous Aristocrat so I will no longer have issues with running out of storage space. Wait a minute! I am pretending to be super rich so scratch the Aristocrat lets make that my own personal walk-in.
Lusitanias... cabs and cabs of them aged and fresh. I'm easy to please.

With Bill Gates kind of money I'd have a seperate Aristocrat for each marca and vitola in a giant, Victorian smoking lounge. Dream big! :=:

I would smoke the same that are now my regular smokes; Padron Londres, Padron 1964 Coronas, Perdomo2 Robusto, Oliva Serie V Double Robusto and Oliva Masterblends3 Robusto. I love what I smoke and no sense to change. Smoke what you like, like what you smoke. If the money changes what you smoke, maybe you should look at where you put that money.:D

If money was no object, I'd buy my own tobacco farm(s) and produce my own chit. It would be good chit, too, and you guys would line up to smoke it. Which I would give away to CA BOTLs for free. Everybody else would have to pay a premium, which I would plow into better production facilities and bigger farms.

I don't totallly agree, Paul...If I could afford to smoke 1994s once a week, I would, as I love them. But I can't "smoke what I love" often, because I can't afford to. If I could...I would. Make sense? :)
