Trying to pick up the game of golf again and am in the market for a new driver.
What are you guys using? I just purchased a set of Callaway Fusion irons and have been checking out the Callaway drivers.

Titleist 909D...love it, but that's just me :) Sort of a Ping/Titleist whore.

G10 Ping...but go to your local shop and demo some first...what works well for some might not work well for others.

I use the Nike vRed STR8 Fit, 9.5. Horrible sound, but excellent feel and forgiveness.

I had a Cobra but now have a Ping G10. So forgiving, and long. I tried ping irons but they didn't give me what I wanted. I couldn't fade or draw when I wanted to.

I had/have a power fade, at least on my drives. If I play a lot in a season, I like a draw on my drives. I get more distance with it. But, this year because I haven't made it out hardly at all, I'm still off just a tad and I fade my drives.

Once my Doc clears my knee from ACL surgery 4 months ago I'm curious to see what trickery comes out of my shots :D

I hit a Callaway Hyper X. Definitely go hit some at your local golf store. Checkout the Taylor Made R9 and Ping g15. I've been hearing some great things about both.

TaylorMade, the #1 ad campaign in golf. ;)
Seriously, I'd look at some clubs from 3 years ago. One reason is pricing: a lot of new models are in the $400-$500 range, but in 6 months they'll be selling for half that. Another reason is shaft length. Most of the OEMs have gone to 46" (or longer) shafts, so they can claim you will hit it longer. The average shaft length on tour is something like 44.5" (shorter = better contact).
Don't be afraid of component stuff, either. Golfsmith's Snake Eyes brand and the Maltby stuff from Golf Works (Golf Galaxy) have been getting decent reviews for the last few years.

R9... the only club in my bag I can hit well(occasionally)... and that isn't so hot, but if I can hit it well, in someones hands that is consistent, you could be a rockstar.

Have been using the Cleveland Hibore for the past 3 years. Have tried a few others but this seems to be more forgiving than others (I need that extra forgiveness). Starting to look at the new Monster Hibore.

I hit a Cobra S 9-1 and have no plans to change.

Friend just bought a Taylor Made R9 and is VERY pleased. He has always struggled off the tee and he hitting as well/consistent as I have ever seen him hit.

just got home from trying out about 10 drivers at Dunhams. They did not have any Ping drivers but of all the one I tried the winner was the Taylor Made R9 460. I tried different Taylor Made lines, Callaway and Nikes. I wanna try the Ping ones though before pulling the trigger.

Now, see if you can do a demo on the range or on the course.. most places will let you do this for $10-$20... not bad considering its a $400 driver. Hitting off a mat in the shop is different than teeing up on a 500 yard par 5.

I completely agree. Minimum at an outdoor range. Not sure if Trackman machine is offered in your area but if it is I highly recommend it. It is a great system to get fitted on.

Just played a round with my new Cleveland Black 9° Driver with the Miyazaki Stiff shaft. I'm really happy with it and replaying some of the drives I hit over and over in my head.
