Minnie & Moskowitz
Terrible acting, bad plot (if you can call it that)
Poor direction
And for some reason it got a 7.5 out of 10 on IMDB.

Plan 9 From Outer Space, followed closely by every other movie that Ed Wood ever made, and Uwe Boll's movies taking up a solid 3rd.

Howard The Duck, Zardoz, SWE-I: The Phantom Menace, and any number of Blacksploitation films all get honorable mentions.

anything with DiCraprio

Its a good thing that he is one of the best actors of the last 15 years or so..

Ed Wood movies are great! I love Bride of the Monster. Let's not forget Orgy of the Dead. I can do without Glen or Glenda though, it's a snoozer.

Yeah, seriously. He's a phenomenal actor, I don't think I've hated a single movie he starred in. :2

Hey, I find Ed Woods movies to be great fun to watch also, but it's because they are so wrechedly bad that they become enjoyable again.

The question was "Worst Movie" not "Worst Movie you hated"

No argument here, I turned it off 1/2 way through.

I watched it till the end. I kept saying "ok this has to get better/make sense. I loved when I looked the movie up later and found this.

"Donnie Darko's writer and director, Richard Kelly, has stated that he has no involvement with S. Darko. He stated "To set the record straight, here's a few facts I'd like to share with you all—I haven't read this script. I have absolutely no involvement with this production, nor will I ever be involved.""

It was a fan of the first movie who thought it would be a good idea to make a sequel. :td

So

The Departed
State of Grace
Gangs of New York
Mystic River
Fast Times at Ridgemont High

etc, etc,, are the "worst movies ever"? C'mon.

I don't care for Sting, for instance, but I wouldn't say all of his albums are the "worst albums ever" just because I don't care for Sting.

Adding to the list:
Dead Man Walking
The Basketball Diaries
Milk
Later episodes of Growing Pains (:r)
The Game
Blood Diamond

These are really the worst movies ever made?

Now, I will put a vote in for "Heaven's Prisoners." It's still the only movie I've ever walked out of in the middle. I'm pretty patient but this one sucked!

So

The Departed
If I'd been in a theater, I would have departed.
State of Grace
Missed it.
Gangs of New York
Gary Oldman saved this movie, IMO.
Mystic River
10 minutes: ZZZZZZZZZ
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Jennifer Jason Leigh, end of story.

I don't care for Sting, for instance, but I wouldn't say all of his albums are the "worst albums ever" just because I don't care for Sting.
Fair enough. But I find it very difficult to enjoy a movie featuring either of those two.
Adding to the list:
Dead Man Walking
Not a fan.
The Basketball Diaries
I'll wait for the book. ;)
Milk
Didn't bother. No interest in Harvey Milk's life and it featured Penn.
The Game
I know nothing about this film.
Blood Diamond
Sorry, I don't buy DiCaprio as an action hero. I keep waiting for someone to slap him and take his lunch money. Djimon Huntsu (sp?) was pretty good, though.

I instinctively avoid bad movies, its like a 6th sense. But here are a couple memorable stinkers:

Intersection (remake)

The Keep

Magnolia

And this one I am adding for my wife, I personally loved the movie but when I finally talked her into watching it, as the end credits began to roll she actually said "Are you joking? Thats it? I kept waiting on something to happen and now its OVER?!?!??!":

The Big Kahuna.

Those other 3 I listed, I was actually saddened that I lost that time spent watching those and could never get it back. I mourned my lost time :(

Jeff,

Gary Oldman wasn't in Gangs of New York. Were you thinking of Daniel Day-Lewis ("The Butcher") possibly?

PS: The Game is really good, and it's mostly Michael Douglas, Penn's part isn't that big.

PPS: How about Reservoir Dogs?

I thought Jeff was saying Gary Oldman saved "State of Grace"....he definitely stole the show.

Jeff, U understand the point about not enjoying movies where you don't like the performer...but the topic isn't "movies you don't enjoy", it is "Worst movies ever".

State of Grace was "Missed it"

Gangs of New York was the Gary Oldman comment.

I take it you've never seen him in Romeo and Juliet (modern day mixed with old English, brilliant!) or The Man in the Iron Mask? Total garbage flicks.

Some other stinkers that come to mind: The Fog, Suburban Commando (horrible, but awesomely horrible), Robocop 3.

He has definitely been in some stinkers, Joe....but he has been in some great flicks too. He may have not even been the reason the films with him that I enjoyed were good...I liked Daniel Day Lewis much better in "Gangs of New York", and Mark Wahlberg better in "The Departed", but those certainly weren't "bad" movies regardless of DiCaprio.

Clifford with Martin Short...I was 12 and I wanted to leave the theater.

And I'd say Dicaprio has been pretty damn good (other than in Titanic). He was great in the Departed.

Oh I don't dislike DiCaprio at all, i've especially liked his more recent work. But he has done a few movies i've flat out hated. Those two being the worst offenders i've seen.

The only movie I've ever walked out of was the new version of Hairspray, and that's saying something because I've seen "Battlefield: Earth" in the theater and DIDN'T walk out. :r

Hairspray was just awful. I'm not a fan of musicals in the first place, but this was just painful to watch in so many ways. Skip it and watch the original one instead, it's muuuuuuch better.

The first half of the latest King Kong movie was awful. If not for the amazing cgi in the second half, the whole movie was crap.
Jack Black was cast horribly and the editing clearly cut out whatever storyline they were trying to build. The 76'ish Kong was way better, all in all.
I like most movies, even if they basically suck. Most at least have something going for them, at least something to appreciate art-wise.
Kong was so poorly done by top professionals that it probably deserves the worst ever moniker.
