So, for the last 6 months I have had a less-than-stellar job. I've talked to truck drivers on the phone all day. I dealt with the same things that anyone who works in a call center deals with. Getting yelled at, called every name in the book, etc. for $9 an hour is really not worth it.
BUT - today was my LAST DAY! Tomorrow, I start my job in the treasury department using my recently attained degrees (Accounting and Finance). Because of this tonight...was a special night :)

A Bolivar Cofradia Maduro...and some Glen Fiddich 30. The Glen Fiddich 30 was a birthday/X-mas gift from my father.
Tonight celebrated the end of many things (a job, college, various health things) and the start of some new as well. Cheers, everyone. :banger

Just went through something similar and it's great to see good things happening to good people. GREAT JOB, and save me a dram of that Whisky. Heard it's fantastic.

Congrats, and again for fine choices for celebratory accoutrements.
Maybe this wasn’t the direction of your thinking, but when someone says,” I am from the FBI, do you have minute to talk?” I say, “sure.”
When someone from the Treasury asks if I have a minute, I throw up on their shoes.

Thanks everyone!
And I should clarify - it is for the treasury department of a privately held trucking company. Not the Fed. Although if you know of someone in the US Treasury that is hiring - give me a shout :)
I am at home on lunch break right now (only 10 minutes away, and a mandatory 1 hour lunch), and the day is going well! Doing new things, and really seeing how the company operates.
And PS - that scotch was amazing. Highly recommended! Completely unreal how smooth it was.

GREAT news... glad it is working out!
Good on your Dad for the excellent Scotch. Dropped a few pesos on that, for certain. :tu
