I have Calle Ocho Robustos. I put them in a humi jar for a year with a bag of beads to yank the gross out of them.
They are excellent. I'd recommend them if you're willing to put some time on them.

Smoked one last night because of this thread. Hadn't smoked one in a while. Not bad at all. A little time in the humi and it was a very nice cigar.

I have not had one yet, seems opinions are one end of the other on these, people love them or not at all. I have not seen these at the B&Ms, maybe a CI only thing?

I had one, that I got in a sampler package. It was a decent smoke. I had no complaints.

They're dogsh!t when they arrive. Soaking wet, gross, and unsmokable.
My guess is the people saying they are unsmokable are the ones smoking them ROTT. Properly taken care of, they're a good cigar. I haven't shared one with a single person that hasn't enjoyed them, myself included.

They are not bad and are a good tag alone to give some friends.

Ahhh, good point here. I always rest a smoke at least a few weeks before calling it bad. I suspect a lot of people have not learned this yet, it's their loss. Hey, if anyone has any cigars you think are bad you can send them to me for verification but be warned it might take a few years for some of them.....
