I have to give a shout out on My Daughter.

Just a little history first. She and her husband have 5 children from 5 to 17 years old. They are all A and A/B students and involved with some type of activities.

Last year she and her husband Jessie discussed her being a serogate mother for a couple that they are friends with. even after having a proceedure so she would not get pregnant again she was willing to discuss it.
Knowing that Jessie had an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan it had to even more difficult to make a choice.
They finally decided to do this for thier friends just before Jessie deployed.

While he was away, she went through all of the proceedures and delt with the pregnancy while dealing with her already hectic schedule with her own children. Cheerleading,(one daughter on two teams another on one team) 2 sons in baseball, thier oldest daughter is blind and goes to a school an hour away so trips twice a week to that school. All while helping them maintain a/b grades.

She also headed up the Family Readiness Group for the Jessies battalion dealing with the soldiers families issues and collecting and coordinating packages being sent to the soldiers.

Friday night Melena delivered a son for thier friends. I did not ask any particulars about the child but it is a beautiful boy.

I have never seen someone that is so happy to do all of this.

My hats off to her.
