This dark Honduran cigar with its 50 ring and 125mm length, dark oily wrapper with some small veins is box pressed and has a nice simple band. The predraw is fine and the cigar has a salty, maybe even a briny aroma.

The cigar produces a full spicy tobacco and herb flavor but soon I could taste some leather while the herbs fade away. The leather gains some strength without becoming overpowering. The feel of the flavor is a bit dry.

Halfway some herby chocolate comes to the palate, soon to be replaced by the leather & herbs & spices again. Close to the turning point the aroma becomes a bit creamy.

The smoke is quite full, could have been a bit thicker though. The ash was pretty firm.

Would I buy this cigar again? Yes, I was quite impressed by it

Sweet! I've got a box of these that have been sleeping in my coolidor for about 6mos. Maybe it's time to see if they want to come out and play.

Thanks for the review.

JR (or at least I think it was JR) ran a fantastic special on these about 9 mos ago -- about $40 a box, as I recall. Was that your source?

For one box. :( I think it was $50. Wish I woulda bought more, my other boxes were considerably more expensive. Great smoke though.

Wow...just lit one of these up.
Very impressed so far. Can't believe these were at 40/box at one time. I would have bought a couple fo sho. Def. recommend for those who like a bit a body to their sticks.

I regret not pulling the trigger on that deal. Haven't seen them since. Have they been discontinued?

JR doesn't have them anymore. Not sure if they're available anywhere else.
