Been wanting to replace my current CC which is a Sig P232 .380 for something with a little more bite - but still easy to conceal like the 232. Well this is it - :D

http://www.dgdesigns.com/humidor/capics/239.jpg

My new SIG SAUERŽ P239 with SIGLITEŽ Night Sights, NitronŽ finish - updated trigger by the Sig Custom Shop to the SRT Trigger Package (SRT = Short Reset Trigger. Reduces reset travel by 60% for those that don't know). Dimension wise the 239 and 232 are very very close. The 239 does weigh about 4 ounces more.

Now the 2 for 1 deal: Purchased as a .357Sig. Picked up a .40S&W barrel. To change caliber all I have to do is change out the barrel. Everything else stays the same - the clips take either round. Also came with 3 clips.

So there she is - a good compliment to my Sig P226 Tactical. The 232 is already sold, goes to it's new owner Thursday night.

Tad bit excited here - :ss

Nice, Just picked myself up a new cc weapon last week myself. I got a pretty sweet deal on a Springfield Champion Lightweight. A 1911 at 4" is real nice to try and conceal over my full size M&P40.

The Sig DA/SA is my 2nd favorite trigger.

USP v1 is my ultimate fave. :D

Nice toy! It'll treat you well.

Nice gun. I have put a lot of rounds through a .40cal 229. Loved everything but that heavy 1st trigger pull.

Then this SRT trigger would really screw with you - :D

Nice gun. I have put a lot of rounds through a .40cal 229. Loved everything but that heavy 1st trigger pull.

Try manually cocking it - takes away that first heavy pull.

Nice Ron,
I just know before too long your gonna need a nice custom leather carry rig for that :D

And I know exactly where to go when I need it - :tu

You are bringing my gun up tomorrow?

:=: Might piss Bob off though.

Nice ! ! ! I LOVE my Sigs. Looks like your using gold dots too? How is the feel of the SRT compared to the standard trigger?

Hey Ron,

Great minds think alike. Picked up a 239 in .40 S&W Friday on the way to the OBX. Just got in and put it through a few mags in the back field. I LOVE IT! Much better than the 709slim it is replacing.

The paddle holster it comes with is OK, but sits a bit proud for CC. I found the Size 15 Uncle Mike's IWB (in either left or right) is a perfect fit, and I already had it from that POS Taurus purchase.

I love the night sights! This thing is just awesome. Finally retired the 92FS to the safe. Never was confident enough in the 709 to do that.

Do you know if the .40 is reverse compatible with .357?

If so, game on :tu

Take your hand and hold it like you have a weapon in your hand, finger on the trigger. Now twitch your finger slightly. That's how short the throw is now. They could have called it a hair trigger but I'm guessing that SRT sounds more technical - LOL. Haven't fired it yet but seriously - its going to be quick.

And yes - those are gold dots. Never used them before but the shop had them for a few bucks off so what the hell.

Cool - my other Sig is the P226 Tactical, 20 round clips in a 9mm. Have a few other handguns but fell in love with Sig the first time I fired one. Just like velvet.

If funds were not a factor I'd probably collect them all - plus the action figures to go with them - :D

Hey Ron,

Great minds think alike. Picked up a 239 in .40 S&W Friday . . .

Way Cool! Can't wait to fire mine.

The paddle holster it comes with . . .

I picked up the Sig holsters for my 232 and 226 and really love them - so ordered one for the 239 this morning.

I love the night sights!

Crap - I said that it had the Sig night sights, my 226 does but not this one. Has the Trijicon Night Sights installed.

Well then it's game on! Yes, you just need to pick up the barrel. You can also go to a 9mm but will have to pick up 9mm clips.

As you say - great minds - LOL

Big +1 love the gold dots in 180gr I wish I could afford a case of them in .357sig

Just a bit of caution on the sig holsters. IF they work like the blackhawk serpas, from a few people that have trained with them, they have told me that dirt/pebbles have prevented them from drawing a few times. So I've been told.

I would never carry with plastic.

Leather all the way.

Competition shooting though.... different story all together :D

I have two others that I have used for years without a problem - of course I'm not rolling around in the dirt and all -

You know I love leather - from the King Ranch leather seating in my truck to the leather Vaja case for my phone, but there is a time and place for plastic sometimes. Here it's the retention factor and quick release. I do have leather for most of my guns - but will need you for two that don't have: the 1911 that my father-in-law carried in WWII and a long barrel 38 that a great grandfather carried in WWI. These are two special (to me) guns that require more than store bought leather - you know. I'm thinking I'd like to have their name and rank on the holsters also.

Nice! I have the 239 in 9mm.

My 226R is .357/.40 and 229 in .357/.40

I'll sell all of my other guns before I sell my Sigs!
