Our neighbor on Saturday brought over an unopened bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue...what the helll is he thinking....way too expensive to be an everyday drink..but you did say 'favorite' and man, oh man, that stuff's gotta be it.

Next favorite....a nice, dark beer or a glass of a nice, full Cabernet Sauvignon.

I will drink just about anything while smoking (water, soda, juice, etc.).
If I am doing a review, I will only drink water.
If I am trying to really relax, I love a glass of Port with my cigar. I also really like Margaritas (the liquid, not the slushie) with cigars.

For me it depends on the time of day. Mornings I prefer strong but sweetened coffee with creamer. Evenings a nice sipping Whiskey or Scotch. But I like a nice Port, Riesling, or Sangria and some beers as well. Sometimes a bottle of water fits the bill.

Delmore has an excellent single malt here in the states for under 45 bucks that is better than most 100 dollar scotch. Their cigar malt. Very good. My second preference after the IPA.

Water. Early in the AM, coffee. In the evening, I'd lean towards coke or diet coke, but may bust out some scotch -- really like single malts (Macallen, Glenmorangie, The Glenlivet).

Kinda surprised by the root beer references. I've never tried it, but I really like root beer. May have to try something new.

Got clued in on the Tawny port (Benjamin from Australia) by the owner of a nearby wine seller. I went in to just look around and noticed he had a tall cabinet humidor with some nice sticks so I asked him if he smoked, answered yes, and what he would suggest to go with a medium to full cigar.

He said follow me and showed me the Tawny port. His quote : " it goes together like peanut butter and jelly". He was right. :al :ss
