I was able to ride up to Lincolnton, Georgia for a weekend Gospel sing with my wife, dad, mom, and brother for the weekend. I rode the bike and they all rode in a car. Took five hours up and about four back. It was great. Could smell all the blooms and clean air.

I ride year round, but am looking forward to the nice weather. Especially with my first trackday of the year coming up in two weeks.:D

Right now the honeysuckle is popping all over VA. I love it when I am zipping past some woods, etc and it hits the nose. On the other hand, aint nothing quite like passing by a recent skunk road kill either. Praying you miss it with the bike.

I could quit riding just because its cold or raining but then I'd have to get a shrink and I hate Drs. My motorcycle is my sanity check. Besides I'll be a lot colder the day they put me in the ground. Ride while ya can.

Nothing like taking a long ride on a sunny day and can smell all of the good smells of nature,,,fresh cut grass, honeysuckle, etc. Be careful out there and ride defensively all the time.

On my Roadstar I scrapped so much my Brothers hated riding with me. They always thought I was going down. Now days I can't go to far over as the pipes grind. They cost to much to be scraping. But nothing like throwing sparks up at night and checking out the chicken strip on the tires. I hate the trunk but it has to stay on until I fix the damaged left saddle bag.

One of my best friends lives down a two mile long gravel road, so after years of riding down there, gravel really doesn't bother me. Rain on blacktop, that's a whole different story. Course...I dumped a bike doing 65mph on blacktop in the rain...so that may have a little something to do with that! :r

My "fear" if you can call it are the tar snakes and pies. I was in a hard 90* left turn, 98* temp and nearly lost it whne the back tire slid out on a big ole tar pie. I would have let the bike down but the wife was on so I jammed the left foot down. Next time I let the bike go down, to say the least that was painful. Now when I see them, especially in the hot weather I get a little nervous. But it all comes with the territory, if there was no danger I might as well be sitting in a rocking chair at the casa.

Hmmm if it isn't raining, how does the bike get washed? Looks good, one of the better looking Ducati's IMO. Some have that really rough look. A set of matching red leathers and your ready to rool.

I'm not worried about getting wet.. My dad always told me sugar melted and sh*t floats and that I would be just fine. :) The current tires are not cut to the outside so traction on wet surfaces is limited.
