Experiencing some major tooth/gum problems which are causing much pain & consternation. Dentist & I are trying some less-radical remedies, but if unsuccessful, he'll be yanking a couple of teeth Monday afternoon.
As a result, there will be NO cigars for me (or very few, anyway) at least one week, and quite possibly 2 weeks or more.
I tell you, I get no respect (tug, tug).

Not quite up to a level of "prayers needed", but send a good thought or 2 my way if you would, please.

I waited 48 hours after getting my tooth pulled. That was plenty long enough. :r

Ouch! Sorry to hear that Eric but fear not, for I shall smoke extra for you;)

Seriously, hope you start feeling better real soon. I know what bad tooth pain feels like and wouldn't wish it on anybody ... well, maybe a few somebodies, but certainly not you.

Take care and get some good pain meds from the nurse.

Good vibes headed your way. I'll smoke your share for ya. I'm good for an extra stick or two.

if you are afraid of spoiling cigars, I will be glad to dispose of them for you.

On the bright side, this means I'll have an extra 2 boxes worth of cigars that can be used for more bombing runs - ever the optimist, that's me! ;)

I'm in the middle of having root canals and teeth pulled that had root canals done years ago. I know where you are bro.

If you can go for a root canal I highly recommend it as opposed to having a tooth pulled......but my dentist does root canals where I don't need even an aspirin after he's done.

Got 2 more old root canaled teeth I have to have extracted in 2 weeks.

Good luck brother.....I'm right there with ya.

When I had a tooth pulled last year, my doctor told me I only had to wait a day or two -- just enough to make sure that the clot held and I would not develop "dry socket".

Peter's suggestion re: Martini's is a good one!

Hope you get past this real soon. I agree that you should rinse at least 3 times a day with a nice "alcohol wash" ...you know, medically speaking. :r

Luck to you, but if it's a choice between smoking early or a dry socket.... Don't even light one up - not worth the risk of that pain.

Well, let's see...if I use those ibuprofen-stuffed olives, I might...
nah, too hard to keep martinis lit. Good draw, though.

Thanks for all the well-wishes, folks!:tu

I've gotta get a tooth pulled in 2 weeks. I think I'll just some enough betweeen now & then to make up for the time I'm gonna lose:D

Good luck. Hurtin' teeth is nasty business. Hope you feel better soon. As my proctologist once told me, "when I'm done with you, all your problems will be behind you." Hope it's the same with your teeth.

If you have a tooth pulled, I'd stay away from smokes and booze for a couple of weeks for sure. The last thing you want is a dry socket. At least, this is what my dentist told me when he pulled a molar (that had a root canal and a beautiful gold crown job done on it 15 years before) a few months ago. I searched on the net for dry socket and it convinced me to give the healing thing a bit more time. Sounds like real a really bad deal if you loose the clot.

Well, a molar got yanked this afternoon, so looks like I'll be on the smokeless wagon (so to speak) for at least several more days.
Shooting for Friday, but can live with myself if I light up Thursday.

I did treat myself to a Punch Gran Puro on Saturday, just because I already figured I'd be losin a tooth today.

Thanks for sending me your good thoughts.
Now, how about sending some nubiles?:D

Wow - can't believe I missed this.

Hope you have a speedy recovery, Eric.

On the bright side - you have a few days to think and RE-think which
cigar will have the privilege of being the first to meet its fiery death on
Friday.

Good luck ! :tu
