A friend of mine has gotten into roasting his own beans as I am over his place 3 times a week and drink 5 times as much coffee as him I thought I should get some Green beans and bring them over.

Any suggestions where to buy these Beans

Roger, Try Saccuzzo coffee on Louis St in Newington. 1800-ICI-4221. Ask for Marco, he is a buddy of mine. They are coffee roasters, and Im pretty sure he will sell you green if thats what you want. Not sure what the minimums would be, but you can have it that day, and not wait for shipping

Sweet Maria's is who I've gone through when I've homeroasted. They have a nice selection from various countries and regions. But stopping by shops works too if they'll offer it and you know what you like.

First rate operation for around 80 years. Gotta be doing something right.

I roast their House Blend and love it and their Costa Rica hard bean is also great.

Their prices are about as good or better than any I have seen.

Sweet Marias is very good and you get the bonus of roasting tips as well as all kinds of cupping scores on their site.

CCM is more click and order, but great if you know what you want or are experimenting.

For good Kona, Smith Farms sells green but is often out of stock. :2

The Kona reminded me of Burman Roasters, who normally stock Kona and lots of other stuff as well as Behmor roasting machines.

They included a 5 pound bag of Brasil Beija Flor with my Behmor and threw in a 1/2 pound of Kona free when I inquired about it.

Kona on sale right now for 15 bucks a pound, which is about what a pound of good roasted beans costs, but is a heck of a lot tastier.

Roastmasters in Branford has a nice selection (walk-ins welcome). Second to Sweet Maria's, but a continent closer...

I order from Green Coffee Bean Buying club, Uncle Beanz and Sweat Marias. Also once in a great while I will order from Coffee Bean Coral.
