I take lots of macros because I like to. I think it's infinately cool to see things in photos that can't be seen with the naked eye. There is a never-ending amount of subject matter, and I find that when little things are blown up, they make for some really interesting subject matter.
As much as I enjoy it, I've never bought any special equipment to take macros. I do seek out prosumer cams that take decent macros. I've had a few along the way. My most current camera does a real nice job and I've been playing with it a bit lately.

If you have any close-up stuff that you've done, or would like to post some neat stuff you've seen on the intersne, please do. I'd love to see it.

Great idea.
I like closeups of just plain-jane type of things.
