That's too damn cool.... Even if it was dry and the stick went up like kindling, its worth it. How many people have ever smoked a cigar that old? Makes me wonder..... how heavy is the security on campus......?

I had the pleasure of being part of a PPP at Shack Herf III where we smoked a Partagas 25th Anniversary perfecto. The cigar was from 1905 and we were truly amazed at the quality of the construction as well as the depth of flavor for a cigar so old.

That isn't even funny, implying that Peter was a teenager in 1907.
He was 36.

If I have a moment I'm gonna make some excuse to swing by the building and I'll get a pic to post of the cigar. :tu

Only took 7 months but I finally got to go see it and take a pic.

You can't really tell from the picture [it's the only angle I could get] but the cigar has a box press to it and relatively little damage. The capsule was an airtight copper box sealed in the Corner Stone of one of the Campus Buildings.

Someone needs to tell them to put that thing in a glass tube. Perhaps 100 years of preservation, ruined in a few months!
Thanks for the pix, Justin! :tu
Yikes! It looks like the Baby Ruth from Caddyshack DOODIE!!!!!
