Had to come back to Alaska for work again and my "trek" was a long one indeed. Started out at Norfolk, Va and finished in Fairbanks, Ak...some 21 hours later. Stuck in JFK for a diverted plane...but this is where it got interesting. This gorgeous red headed woman that looked identical to Lea Thompson sits down beside me and is cursing under her breath at the flight delay. She asks a few questions about the reason and what not...so we chat for a few minutes. Then the gate changes at the last minute and she doesn't hear it...so I walk back over to her and let her know. She thanks me and smiles that gorgeous smile!!! Well, I look at my ticket and notice that I am flying in First Class for the first time ever...so I am already stoked!! Guess who sits next to me on the ride from JFK to Seattle??? That gorgeous red head!! By now I have to tell her that she looks identical to Lea Thompson, she leans over and whispers "That's because I am her. Don't tell anyone because you are the only person all day that has noticed." We chatted on and off the entire flight. She is very down to earth and very personable. My favorite movie with her is "Some Kind of Wonderful". Well, we get to Seattle and both our connecting flights have already left. So there we are again...we chatted some more and then it was time to get on my way. She gave me a wink and said that "It was great meeting you". I said likewise and we parted ways. Knucklehead me didn't think to get a photo with her, an autograph...I was mesmerized by those eyes and that red hair. That definetly made 19 hours of airport BS tolerable.

Loved Red Dawn

Used to watch Caroline in the City in my younger days.

Great story, Mac!

Cool story, Mac. The only celebs I've met are some retired NFLers at a trade show, and Sean Lennon (threw him out of a bar).

She prob appreciated your not asking for a signature! Sometimes it's best to leave that part alone! After all, the time you spent chatting with her certainly beats a scrap of paper with a signature, doesn't it?

I once had a pizza delivered by jessica Alba and Selma Hayek but then I woke up. :D. Great story!

Yeah, she even got ME with Red Dawn. Something about her wanting to
cozy up to Powers Booth gave me a young versus old boner.

an autograph...WTH is a scrap of paper anyway? Proof? The only time I would get an autograph
is when I was interviewing someone, and only then I would do it AFTER the interview while breaking
down my equipment. Interviewed Willie on his bus one day and was thinking of asking him if he would
break me off a piece of that ganja I smelled so strong when I stepped onto that bus.

Cool story Mac....and I bet you made a better impression and had a great conversation in part because you did not ask for a photo or autograph.

And who can forget her in All the Right Moves? Of course, most of you are too young to remember or care about that movie. But it's remarkable for one very good reason--and it has nothing to do with Tom Cruise ;)

Cool story, Mac! And I'm with the others who suggested not asking for the photo/autograph was the way to go. Did you at least offer her a cigar?!

Man there is just something I don't like about 'cute as a button' getting to be over 40.
She just looks like somebody's stern aunt now. I still get kind of excited by the photo
you were kind enough to add to help me with my visuals :r

(After all the years I spent holding up her poster with one hand.)

Great story. I bet she is posting somewhere on another forum about the sweetheart who spent all this time talking to her and wanting nothing in return :-)

Seriously, I loved her as a young Mrs. McFly guzzling booze from that flask. I have wanted to attend the "Enchantment Under the Sea" dance ever since.

I would have said to her, "You know, if you kissed ME it would not at all be like kissing your brother." :r

I bet she would've melted into her seat after hearing that one.

I was on a flight with Rebecca Demorney last October from Winnepeg to Minniapolis. She was in first class, I was not. :( But she was still hot!
