From the time I was 17 until 27 I spent a lot of time & lots of money chasing every different type/style of Beer I could get my hand on(and enjoying most of them), similar to the cigar obsession

I guess. Now that I am a bit older I find myself returning almost always to one style So just wondering if the majority of beer drinkers here on the board tend to stick to one Beer style.

Mine is "Porter" might come from my love of the movie "The Quiet Man", but nothing better then sitting down with a "Pint of Black"

My favorite style is Stout, Imperial Stout to be more exact.

When I'm in the mood for something light, I'll typically go for a Dry Hopped APA.

My favorite style is IPA's, and double IPAs.

Bitter beer is better!!!

I used to experiment more, but I find myself having stout and pale ale in the fridge most of the time.

A few years ago I would drink about 90% porter or stout. Lately, it's been about 90% IPA.

I'm with Tripp & David: IPA's are my "go to" style, what I come back to time and again. It's not all I drink, but they are the Padron's of my beer drinking. After 30 years of brewing & drinking, IPA's are my comfort food.

It varies with me. However I think Stout might win.

Not sure what style it is, maybe someone will know. It's called Kalik and made Nassau, Bahamas and only sold in the islands. Either way not much of a beer fan but this stuff was great.

IPAs and Imperial Stouts are just about all I drink anymore, aside from the occasional Belgian. I guess IPA gets the nod from me.

Budweiser & Kalik are both American Adjunct Lagers--lots of company in that style. Blue Moon is a Belgian Witbeer.

Stouts and Porters for me, either could be #1 depending on my mood.

Wouldn't it depend on weather (winter/summer), food and mood? With salty foods I find that Pilsners work best, in winter time it is either Stouts or Ales and when it is summer I don't mind lighter bodied beers (lager).

At the local pub I go for Guinness or Murphy's Stout; easy drinking, generally in a nicer glass and not too strong. If not those, whatever local Boston area draft is on tap.

Mostly IPAs and Lagers, but as Greg said, it depends a lot on the weather and what I'm eating or smoking!!!

I love stouts and porters too but they aren't my goto!!!

IPA's and DIPA's, and a good brown ale's also have their place.
