Yes, it is discontinued. The Ambos Mundos replaced it.

What he said.

AM are higher quality and better tasting IMO anyway.

Are the close the the P as being a sandwich cigar with long and short filler?

:(

I really liked the Series P.

I've only had one Ambos Mundos, so I'm not sure if I like them or not.

bought one when they first came out. it was..meh

I smoke the brown labels occasionally but I'm starting to feel like all his cigars are overhyped and overpriced.

I love the brown labels but recently I am finding the majority of them to be very under filled to the point they are difficult to keep lit.

I loved the P2, my local B&M hasn't had any for a while, but they still have some P1s left.

I heard last year they were getting rid of the P series. I should have stocked up on the P2 back then.

But I am not that smart.

So What Is The Difference Between The Flavor Profiles Of The Ambos Mundos Sumatra & Habano?

I liked the Series P. But the AM is a nice alternative! :tu

Identical situation here.
I don't have a Pete stick in my lineup. Just can't find any I like. They're pricey, but if I like them, it doesn't much matter. I just can't get beside the black pepper taste and odd piney taste in his sticks. Grosses me out.
I keep trying them, though. :)

Serie P for around $3 a stick, Ambos Mundos for around $5 a stick. I really don't smoke either one of these but if I did smoke the Serie P this would suck.

You guys sure it was that long ago?

For some reason I am thinking it was about a year ago. I remember having my first one in Chicago at a trade show last March (2009).

I haven't tried an AM but I have one in my humidor to try at some point. I'm not at all surprised to hear that a Tat product that sold for $3 is being replaced by one that costs $5. Seems like typical Pete math to me.

I heard last July that the P series was going away. At that point, there was still plenty of stock to be had, but I don't really know if it had been discontinued by then or not.

The AM was released in early 2009. It's okay, but I like the Series P better: nice mix of wood/leather with a sweet core and the spice was mellow, not all up in yo face...

Yeah they came out in 2009, so they have been out a little over a year now I think.

By the way my local has all but one size in stock, and the ones he has is full boxes plus some.

The Series P was my favorite "bang for the buck" cigar, so I'm disappointed about this. However, the Ambos Mundos is great, and with the new releases from JC Newman(Brickhouse and El Baton) I have some more choices in that category.
