Oh no, Dave, "Baby" is the Li'l Brother - the "Spark Plugs are for Girls" link goes to the photo of Beast up in Great Falls, MT.

Running a 239 V6 right now...The 3.0 CRD is still waiting for the 239 to quit...so Marissa is learning how to drive Baby. It will be the third Frankenstein that Larry has built (if the 239 ever dies??)

Yes, a teenage girl will be the driver.

Yes it is a 03 L that was the year they introduced the sonic blue (hence the sonic in sonic mike)
before 03 it was true blue that was a darker blue color.

Nice STI by the way,I plan on getting a evo mr or sti after I finish paying off my L.

Thanks! The STi is about 7 months old and has just about 15xxx miles on the clock from all kinds of journeys. The new WRX's are definitely worth looking in to. As is the Mitsu Ralliart Sport Wagon if you're looking for something non-sedan. Otherwise, the Evo's and WRX/STi platforms will surely not disappoint.

Wow, good to see a lot of other Dodges.

Was at the drag races tonite and some guy had one of the Jeep SUVs with the SRT motor. Stock it ran 13.5. Pretty impressive to see a truck go so fast. Another guy was out there in a Dodge 2500 Diesel running 15.5s, which was also surprising in a four door long bed. :ss There was another guy with a Cyclone that was running mid 12s.

Hopefully no one minds if I bump up an old thread. Can't shut up about cars & trucks.

Here's my 2009 Ford Ranger XL. I have a tendency to go for bare bones vehicles, and this fits the bill: RWD, 4-cylinder, manual transmission (though it DOES have A/C). A $4000 rebate from Ford helped me to say "Yes please!"

It's hard to argue against a truck that has been getting just under 30 mpg in the year I've owned it; in fact, I filled it up today and calculated my MPG at 33.4. Plus, they've been building it FOREVER, so it probably won't be breaking down anytime soon.:tu

Sharp looking truck. What size lift do you have on there? 3 or 6inch?:banger

GolfNut
11-24-2010, 07:58 PM
6 inch lift sitting on 35's. The bed rail is just a shade over 5ft off the ground. I'm 6'4 and it's still a ***** to work on anything in the engine compartment.

I bought it this way from a guy who bought it from a young man that had done all the work to it. This guys wife hurt her back and couldn't get in it anymore. The engine was rebuilt and pumped up somehow. I'd love to know what. I've driven other 351 windsor trucks and they are NOTHING like this thing. It's loud, lopey and can spin those 35's with the stock 3.55 gears. I will re-gear it eventually but it's still a fun truck.

Paint is peeling, got a dent in the right door from windstorm damage, several little electrical quirks but still does everything I need it to. Best thing is, for me anyway, no truck payments. :r

Here's a shot of it on April 1st after my son and a friend had a little fun. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh59/idfliers/IMG00013.jpg

No, it looks normal under the hood. No aftermarket cold air and still has the speed density system on it, so I can't imagine too much could have done without converting it to mass air. Funny thing is, when I bought it, it came with a K&N cone filter attached to a mass air sensor body, so I think the kid was getting ready to convert it when he got in some trouble and had to sell it off.

Next Summer I'll look into things a bit, and see what's up.
