What is it? I am trying to "broaden my horizons", therefore I am looking to see what everyone here likes to fall back on as a solid smoke. I personally like the Diesels, but I am out, and wanting to try something new.. Let me know!!

Right now for me these are my "go to" sticks:
Oliva V belicoso
Cabaiguan Guapo Maduro
601 Green La Punta
Padron Anniversary 1964 Exclusivo maduro

captain53

It varies from time to time but my top go-to's are: (These are all strong medium to extra full strength smokes)

Padilla Miami
Padilla-1932
Padilla-1968
LGC Serie R #6
LFD Double Ligero

RevSmoke

Go to? Hmm, that's a broad list.

Oliva V (Double Toro, Double Robusto, Lancero)
Oliva Connecticut (Robusto & Lonsdale), & Oliva O (Corono & #4)
Taboo HSG (Double Toro & Torpedo)
DPG Black (Perla)
Padron 3000 Maduro

And there are others that I'd like to have as my go to smoke, but they are out of my price range.

I like sampling many things, but when I want to sit down with a smoke I know I will enjoy I always grab a Padron Maduro. Any Padron will do.

My Go-To's are Habanos. I got RyJ Mille Fleurs and PL Panatellas, Upmann Mag. 50's or HdM Epi. # 1's for when I feel like something bigger. Anything but a Guantanamera for me and I'm happier than a pig in poo. I try to smoke the pricier stuff like Cohibas or anything EL or RE as celebratory smokes. Anything else regular production counts as a Go-to in my books.

Razorhog

Tatuaje Havana VI Nobles (robusto)
Pepin Cuban Classic 1952(petite corona) and 1979(robusto)
San Cristobal Classico (robusto)

All of these are fantastic and reasonably priced.

Lately, it seems I don't hit the same smoke more than once a month, but if I had to pick what seems to get me most often is it's probably the Tat Havana VI Artistas.

I smoke a large variety over the course of a week or a month, but I find myself returning to a few inexpensive stalwarts:

5 Vegas Series "A"
Padilla Hybrid
Padilla Obsidian
Arganese Presidente Maduro
Tatuaje Series P

Mine seems to change depending on my most recent inexpensive box purchases.

I can say that pretty much all of my go to sticks are the cheaper DPG blends though (Ambos Mundos No. 2s, El Rey de los Habanos, Petite Tatuajes, DPG Cuban Classic 1977s, Blue Label Lanceros, etc.).

My go-to cigar tends to be whatever I have the most of, when the stocks get low I order something else and try to keep the last few of the old boxes to age. That being said, I'm really digging the Partagas Mille Fleurs now (CC) as an everyday smoke that won't break the bank but has a great taste and aroma. The Montecristo Especiales and PSD4 are cigars I have a hard time keeping in stock. Damn are they tasty.

haha I was going to post this too.

I don't have an everyday favorite cigar because I like to smoke a variety. so when you say "go to cigar" I'm thinking of something that has a very unique flavor and is dead-on consistent.

In that category I would say, Padron 64s, Partagas shorts, Opus X/Anejo/Don Carlos, and even though people complain about the lack consistency on these, the Monte #4.

These are the cigars I keep coming back to, because I can count on them to taste the same way every damn time I light one.

Yeh, I am in the same boat as Tom. I would say I hardly ever smoke the same cigar twice in 6 months unless it is something I am really craving.

That is what happens when you either buy too many cigars or get too many samplers. :D

Seeing as how I'm a college student without a steady income other than my weekly allowance, I like to keep things cheap.

I've fallen in love with Olivas, be they Serie G, O, or V (yum, yum, yum!)
Relatively inexpensive, but very full of body and flavor. Highly recommended.
In addition, Sancho Panza's also a wonderful smoke.

You can probably tell that I loves me some maduro. And I do. 'Cuz it's yummy. :)

I think what he's saying is that he wants to smoke cheapo's regularly and is looking for reccomendations on what to buy, but is also interested in trying an Opus.

On topic, for years, I would go to the B&M once or twice a month, and pick up a fistfull of sticks, usually spending $30-$50 each time. More recently I've decided that I can keep expanding my horizons, but instead of buying 5-6 sticks I'm looking to try a couple times a month, I just buy a <$100 box every month or so.

Some of my go-to sticks are:
Tabacos Baez SF - Mixed filler, medium bodied with tons of flavor from Don Pepin. They run about $40 for a box of 20.
Fumadores - Available only from Holts, they're another mixed filler Pepin, that are also around $40 for 20.

Some other good ones to try would be Don Pepin Garcia Black, Gran Habano 3 Siglos, Gran Habano Corojo, and Tatuaje P series(White Label, though they seem to be getting harder to find)

If so, check out any stogies by Punch, very reasonably priced and most B&M's have them.

Opuses aren't quite as expensive if you get them from the right place. $11-$15 if you get them from someone who doesn't jack the prices up. IMO, they're worth the money, but even if I could afford it, I still wouldn't smoke them every day. I'd recommend picking one of if you ever get the chance.

I smoked:

This is kind of funny. I was at a family event this weekend and ran into someone who I have not seen in a long time and we both found out that the other likes cigars. So he asks me, what are your favorites?

I stutter and stammer and draw a blank. I manage to get out Padron and LGC, but there are so many cigars that I like that I was overwhelmed try to name just a few.

Later on after I thought I about it I remembered that I could have referred to my MobileStogie app :)
