Its all about the money, and somebody wasn't getting their $75 fee. What a joke!

I got a little education on PA liquor laws when visiting for a wedding last year. It was very confusing and pretty strict. You could not buy beer at a regular grocery store. Only the state operated "beer and wine stores" which don't sell liquor. you had to buy liquor at a liquor store, which cannot sell beer/wine. wtf? i also thought it was strange that if the beer store is closed, you can buy 6/12 packs/cases at a bar and take them with you! In Texas, any alcohol purchased in a bar, MUST be consumed on property, so this was new to me.

edit: hey tx_tuff, fellow Houstonian here!

They confiscated some rare beer in these raids . What a shame . I hope they're storing it in the same way it was taken away . Be a real shame to see all that good stuff go to waste . I wonder if any is now missing since the confiscation .

Is that the biggest issue that PA government has to deal with that they're going to the trouble to raid bars for such a petty thing? I guess there's no longer crime, drugs or any other major problems in PA? It amazes me what government will spend money on when there are bigger issues at hand and should be considered gar more important.

My guess is that a rival bar owner is behind these "raids". The owners of the these bars are super nice folks and have done a lot to improve the neighborhoods where their bars are located.

THEY TOOK THE SOUR FLEMISH! BASTARDS!
