View Full Version : T110 exploded....
What to do..... The darn USPS crushed a box in a trade... This was the only stick out of 8 other sticks and the only T110 I have yet to try....
Should I ..
A) clip at the band and try to smoke this...
B) smoke as is...
C) give up the fact I will not be able to smoke and enjoy this at all....

I reluctantly sold a fiver of these a while ago and it appears that two of the five "exploded" at the foot. I wonder if it had anything to do with the roll.

Damn, that sucks.Your best bet would to just smoke it, instead of getting the run around from the USPS.
Smoke it backwards!!!! ...and maybe upside down if you think it might help :D

A) or B). What have you got to loose? If you don't want to try it send it to me. I will try about anything once.
I say clip it and leave the band on it so that it lessens the chance of the wrapper unraveling.

I say, just remove the rest of the wrapper near the cap, use cigar glue to hold the remainder down, and smoke that bish! It will make your sinuses explode as well. :pu

Clip it. It should smoke fine except for the last half inch where the wrapper is missing.

Tats brittle thin wrappers strike again. As the others have said clip it and hit it.

I was the other half that got an exploded T110....I just cut it and smoked it...it looked ugly but smoked ok....still had a great flavor and mine was much worse then yours. After lighting it looked like some put a firecracker in the end of it!

I would say to try and slowly rip off some of the wrapper so that the cigar becomes somewhat esthetically reasonable and start smoking it. I would not suggest you cut it, but rather use a punch. Let us know what you do, and how your experience goes.

Have you let the seller know of the situation? Just a thought. I'd clip it and smoke it...

I would be curious to know if they use a similar wrapper to the East/West Coasts as those wrappers are super delicate and get damaged just by looking at them wrong and if that were the case it would make a lot of sense hearing about wrapper issues with these. Sad to see a great stick get damaged during transit. I agree with the rest and say smoke it, although I am in the camp of trying to repair it a little with pectin first. You would be amazed of the results as I recently repaired a stick that I received in a trade that looked like it had been through a couple world wars. I fixed it up with a bit of pectin and surprisingly the thing smoked flawlessly.

the T110's are very very thin. I've had some explode in the mail as well.
In fact just this last friday I had two in my traveldor for about 3 hours. it was full, no movement in the box. I pulled both out, went to hand one to jcruz and half the foot was missing it's wrapper. Still smoked well, but they are pretty fragile.
I'm gonna clip it at the band, my use a dab of cigar glue and see if it goes over well.... wish me luck...

If you haven't smoked it yet, take the wrapper off another cigar and wrap it around the cigar from about where the band is up. Use something different, it will keep the cigar together and you will even get to smoke a little of it with the different wrapper and get to see what it does to the cigar taste.
