HL Maduro sounds pretty awesome. I'll try the candela. Always wondered if a candela could be good.

I'm not sure I like the idea of replacing the Domenicos with a new, larger ring-gauge version. I always liked the original Domenicos because it was a true Corona Gorda, which, IMO, is the best size vitola.

I'll reserve my judgement on the Candela... Dion is my daddy, so... IN DION I TRUST.:D

Candela wrappers are teh suck, imho, but if someone was to put together a good candela blend, it'd be illusione. I'm exctied for this release. Hopefully I'll be able to find (and afford) one!

Camacho has a decent candela.

I am VERY curious about this HL candela. Its a hard wrapper to make it smoke tasty IMO. That being said....I couldn't imagine him putting out something bad.

Amen.

Everybody knocks Candelas, and I am also in that camp, as they are hard to do. Camacho has one that is pretty good, and JR Ultimates had the Principales in a candela that was also quite good. Yes, they are rather mild, and the wrapper really doesn't contribute a whole lot, but they can be good.

If they couldn't be good, would they even be considering this whole idea?

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Being I never had a Candela in a lancero I am looking forward to the HL Candela. Something different you know?

Double Amen :salute:

I just can't see him putting out something just for the sake of putting it out.

We shall see I suppose...

I don't like this either. The corona gorda is my favorite size.

Thanks, I was guessing at the size. They didn't have the new one there, so the foil one (MJ12) got my pick.

It'll have a band once you get it out of the foil. I did a review (http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?p=746942) on one of these a few months ago. Very nice.

I have one MJ12 in my humi, waiting to be smoked. I really like the 88s, so if the MJ12 is good, this MJ is going to need a box!

They don't come in foil anymore, so you got one of the previous release.

It's not that they don't come in foil anymore, I got this info from Dion. He said they ran out of foil but had the cigars ready and boxes ready so just sent them out without the foil. They will still be using it in the future.

I had the HL Candela last month and was very impressed with it. I've always thought Candela cigars were sort of gimmicky, but I really like this smoke.

It was very different from anything I have ever smoked, and quite spicy, but in a different way.

I've never had a good Candela. But kind to think of it I've only had the Thomson one. And some cheap machine made garcia vega ones. Which both sucked. Go figure.
