I was curious if these were worth the upgrade price.

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Without a doubt Jordan.

Everyone I know that has an Aristocrat says to get them.
In fact I believe another member here, Addiction, had an Aristocrat without shelves, and then purchased one WITH full extension shelves. He absolutely said it was worth it.

I would not have one with out them. With the bottom extension shelf you can get to the bottom of the cabinet and there is enough room there to store 100 + singles (out of site, out of mind). ;)

I put full extension shelves in everything I build. They are freakin awesome. I can't imagine not having them. Well worth whatever they cost, Jordan!!! :tu

Absolutely Worth It - without them it is hell to get to what is in them!

Agreed I have the 26.5 deep model and to get to the back of a shelf with out them would be a long process of unpacking and repacking

Without them you pretty much have to unpack everything just to see what you have, let alone actually getting to anything.

Not ordering them is kind of like buying a luxury car, but then trying to save a few bucks by telling the dealer to hold off on the luxuries. Doesn't pay in the long run.

full extension. no doubt.. makes it infinetely easier to get smokes out from the back rather than taking a bunch of boxes out and then playing tetris

have'em and love'em in my Mini Tall

Not to beat a dead horse, but absolutely worth it....I would be playing crazy tetris weekly without them, Jordan.

I don't have an Aristocrat (yet :)) but have a Montegue which doesn't have the extension shelves. I definitely wish it had them. Maybe I'll look into a retrofit. :hm

My Aristocrat Plus was ordered with adjustable "fixed" shelves. My other Aristocrat Plus 48 has the extension type. Decided to save some money + it is easy to move them around. Don't really care for the extensions.

Beating the dead horse.......:tpd:
You'll be kicking yourself for not doing it, I know I would be. Makes everything you do in there so much easier.

Couldn't think of mine without them.

Great to slide out the shelves and see whats there.

Great for inventory, great for smoke picking, and damn they just look cool :)

Well that settles that.... gonna have to reply to Bob for a new quote :D

Gonna have to tone it down a smidgin anyway. While beautiful, some of the wood options add up quickly :)

I would say the best two upgrades I did would be the extension shelves followed by the raised panel doors. . . followed closely by the inlay top. :D

Unless you are planning on getting one of the smaller end tables, I would not order one without the extension shelves. It will make it a lot easier to pack it full of boxes. :D

I did not get them on my Mini cabinet. The second Mini we got had them though.
The horse is pretty bloody now.

Is this your first Aristocrat?

Will be if the wife approves. I'm looking at the M series. Not the Deep model, just the regular.

Noice!!
I suggest the walnut. It is beautiful for a cabinet IMO.

It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission. :r

I suggest buying he biggest one you can afford. I wish I had. It's amazing how quickly they fill up. And, imagine having to ask the wife to buy another cabinet. :bh

The M is definitely the biggest we can afford... if we can even afford that one :)

I'd rather not get one than get one too small. :D

Was also looking at the 48 Plus, but honestly I think I like the way things would sit in the M better. More organized.

I couldn't have said it better Jordan. I have been looking at these for a while now and decided I want the M. I don't even have enough boxes to fill a DX but if I am gonna drop the coin I want room to grow. The plus 48 would do the trick but I also like the way the M sits and it's only a $50 difference in price. When the day comes to make my purchase I am going Temp and humidity controlled (gets hot down here in the summer) and DEFINITELY getting Full extension shelves.:tu

Careful though.. it's 50$ more in price, but the upgrade options to the doors are about 1.5x the price :)

I agree with most here that extendable shelves are a
must. I have them in mine but wish the bottom also extended ;)

I take it the shelves won't be adjustable though if they're full extension?

That might be asking a bit much though :D
