It was a day spent Ice Cutter Hunting and we did alright, The river is still blocked by Brash ice and our lake is down over 5 feet behind the house, So Kat and I went Trap Shooting in the morning and then to the lake. We were fortunate enough and stop for dinner and have these to boats entertain us during an early dinner, Afterword while having a smoke the CCGC Samuel Risley Breezed by less than 75 feet away and blew my cigar out:r

I would love to have been there to watch it live. It's amazing to watch those things in action. I think it was the Discovery Channel that did a show on how they were built, fascinating stuff!!

Port Sanilac... that's a flash back. My wife grew up just off Forester road which is like 15 mins from there. Her parents still live there.

I remember seeing ice stacked up a good 8 feet high along parts of Anchor Bay one winter. Another time Dad and I took a ride up M-53 through the Thumb during winter, and the snow was piled so high that when you came to an intersection you couldn't see if there were any cars coming. Scary stuff.
