This 3" blizzard we have had in Atlanta has me going stir crazy. It has been cold and wet and keeping me from enjoying a cigar.
Until now, I'm cozied up in my kids play house. It's about six foot square. It's large enough to have my chair, laptop, drink and a play kitchen to prop my feet up on. We have had it for years. i can't believe I didn't think of it before. It has 3 nice functioning windows that let in plenty of light and air if I need it. Only problem seems to be a lack of ridge venting. A few holes with the drill should take care of that.
For now a jacket and body heat have me plenty warm. I can see myself dragging an extension cord out here for a portable heater if necessary. Or maybe a desktop fan in the summer.
Hmmmmmmm, what about a 100' HDMI cable and a small flat screen?
Anyone else smoke in a tiny inmate sized shack?

I'm glad you posted the picture, Craig, when I saw "six foot square" on your original post, I am thinking 6 square feet....like 2 feet by 3 feet...and thinking, "Why in Hell would he do that?" :r

I seriously lol'ed when I read this post. Then I looked at the playhouse and lol'ed more. All I picture is a giant guy squished into a tiny house. But hey, like you said, whatever it takes!

Used to have one, ended up demoing it a few summers back. Now I'm wishing we kept it!!

I use 1/3 of my detached garage, put in a dividing wall, plywood ceiling, heavy duty plastic sheeting over the studs. I can fit 4 comfortably with a kerosene heater for warmth while watching football or races. Oh, have a 25" TV. It is kinda like sitting in the front row at a movie theatre since you're only 5 or 6 feet away from the screen, but no ones complaining !
