View Full Version : Proud Parent Friday Pic Thread
Because I am slow at work and have nothing better to do right now.... I am starting the Proud Parent Friday pic thread....
It is in celebration of the fact that it is Friday and the one day this week that I do not have to be a taxi to go to hockey, swim lessons, skate lessons ect....
"Proud Parent" is pretty liberal as well.... Neice/nephews, pets, a car that you have a strong bond with.....whatever works....:r
Two of my favorites that I have at the workplace....

Outstanding!
Well I don't have a picture - but my daughter just informed me today that she made the Dean's List - again - :tu
Which of course means that she has to be studying just a tad bit more than partying in college - LOL

Here is the mark that a puck left on my sons ribs tonight. Wasn't even a slap shot, just a hard clearing attempt that he blocked.

Jr's first game back just a little over one year from breaking his back. What this guy went through to get back on the ice is nothing short of amazing.
Proud? Yes. Thankful/grateful, you have no idea.

OK, I have boys - 110% boy, boys.
Tim caught his first salmon on a 10.5' Loomis noodle rod with an ultra-light spinning reel and 4lb test at the age of 7. It went over 25 pounds. He isn't proud, is he?

Nathan's first deer was a nubbie buck. In fact, the nubs were so small we didn't know they were there till we rolled it on it's back to gut it and he said, "Dad, it looks like a boy." We forgot the camera and didn't remember to get a picture till we had quartered it. Oooops. He's still proud of it.

A friend of mine has a place up in the U.P. and we go up there to get away. Nathan is all boy and wanted a picture of us in front of the sign on the porch.

My youngest daughter graduated valedictorian from high school. My wife and I are very proud, plus all her college tuition is paid for (state college).
Great for dad's pocket book :D

It's not Friday, but I'm still proud of my girl!
We took my dad down to a friend's property on the river to fish today. The drive back to the house is long (and straight) so I figured she was getting old enough to start learning to handle the truck. In the past she has sat in my lap and steered while I worked the peddles, but today it was all her. Next step is teaching her to back the boat trailer down the ramp...:D

My older son is already out of the house so now we just need to get Aaron through (or at least started on) college so we can get him out of the house :)

Our county has a working farm as part of the parks system, and it happens to be about 5 minutes from my house. We take Thor there fairly regularly since it's a great place for him to run, and of course he likes seeing the animals. Here's a few pictures from our Saturday outing.
1) Thor checking out the chickens
2) Me and my boy
3) Thor holding a tiny toad we found.

My Kid is pretty lazy, doesn't do much but sit around and eat all day. Never hear a peep out of him; and I'm ok with that!
