So, today was an unplanned day off for me, thanks to the snow gods. As such, I decided to have a "me" day and go down to the beach. At first, I wasn't sure that it was going to go so well because they're currently working on Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. However, I did find a way to slip out on to the beach
It was cold, but the sun was out and my coat was soaking in the heat, so I was able to stay mostly warm. I pulled an Oliva Serie V figurado out, cut it and lit it. The storms have eroded the beach so I was able to sit up high above it on a dune. It snowed and there was still snow out on the sand. The sky was perfectly clear and no one was out on the beach. It was so peaceful.
I sat on the dune for over an hour, purely enjoying the smoke. I wasn't looking for any special flavors or an experience beyond what I was having at that moment. I took a few pictures, but Im having trouble getting them off of my phone.
I had to say a prayer of thanks because it was so beautiful, almost overwhelmingly so. I had the entire beach to myself. It was just me and the seagulls, and the song of the waves.
