I haven't been active on the cigar forums for a while; I was a regular on Club Stogie. Life got in the way for a while, and is likely to in the future as I'm having twin boys!!!
I was wanting advice on handing out cigars after they are born. I've got an internal debate going on about this - buy a good box for me and give away some of my cheaper sticks? Buy a good box and give them away? Are there any decent "It's a boy!" cigars?
I lean towards giving away cheaper stogies because most of my friends will just put them in the freezer next to the black n' milds or white owls :D

A. Fuente Curlyheads are a good, inexpensive smoke that won't break the bank, nor the casual smokers' palates.
Congrats on the impending Blessed Event! :D

I have never tried them but they're cheap and I have yet to smoke a bad AF. :tu

Awesome, thanks! The Fuentes Brevas look like a good choice. 5 Vegas gold nuggets, or maybe Punch London Club Naturals were some others I was thinking about.

The AFs aren't bad at all and a dang good price. If you want to spend a little more they also make an 8-5-8 "It's a Boy" as well. You can find them at Tampa Sweethearts among others.

Cuesta Rey (made by Fuente) also has the It's a _____ cigars for $21-25 a box. They are a little smaller than the Brevas but taste basically the same to me.

Here's something I did for my friends who appreciate good cigars.
I took and made Avery labels for them which included
Full Name
Date of birth
Length & Weight
I attached these to the cellophane of each cigar.
Then, I put two of them away - to be properly stored until their 18th birthday where they will have their first cigar with me. The same cigars that were enjoyed to celebrate their birth.
I have shown both my boys those cigars, and they are excited.
Something I did later on then, was to find ISOM cigars that were born the same month & year they were. Have two of those each sitting and waiting for their 18th as well.
God's blessings upon you and especially your wife as the day approaches.
Peace of the Lord be with you.

I'll take a picture of my "special" section and post it.

Thanks again for all of the warm replies.
So here is a pic of my special occasion cigars. What would you smoke for the birth of the babies?

Here is a bit of advice with my experience of trying the celebratory smoke after my 2nd was born . I tried a Sir Winnie and ended up wasting the cigar . Wife and both daughters were a sleep at 10 pm for about 15 minutes into the cigar and then it hit the fan , my 3 year old(at the time):pu and woke the baby up , had to clean vomit up and then to give the wife a break I took the baby who was screaming for vengeance and all down stairs . End of cigar time . My advice is to save those special sticks for when nothing can interrupt . When you get a moment have a regular smoke or something you don't mind pitching early . The little woman is gonna be exhausted trying to feed 2 little darlings . Good luck and Congratulations ! :tu I almost forgot , Get A Steam Vac !!!!!!

Sounds like wise advice to me! I did order a box of those Fuente Brevas, so I'll just have one of those. I really doubt I'll have a couple hours of free time for quite a while after those little dudes get here. Maybe I'll have a special cigar before they are born :ss
Oh - and I already have a steam vac and a hand-held steam vac! (Two dogs)

Hey guys quick update - went to dr today. Babies are doing fine and growing like they should. However, there were some signs that she might be having contractions. Not good at 27 weeks. So we were admitted to the hospital and will have tests done. Hope to go home Sunday. Throw us some good thoughts and vibes!
