Sheash! We are just getting the leading edge now - lots of rain mixed with a little ice so far. I'm hoping we don't repeat the winter of '07 ice storms but the news says we might....

Biggest snow storm I have ever been in was in Amarillo a few years back. If you don't like the weather where you are you don't ever have to leave TX to find the kind you are looking for!:banger

That's for sure...it's 70 here in Austin right now.

I lived in Austin from 92-98, we had a few icy winters

this is my 4th winter in Amarillo and first good snowy winter since 06

but figure we're a lot farther north than 98% of Texas, and at 3900 feet elevation, so that helps too. One day I would love to return to central Texas though, we'll see what the job situation shakes out like in the coming months

true

on the other hand there is worse than an inch of ice (except maybe two inches)

They say we got 7" in Tulsa but I don't believe them. I'm thinking more like 4". It is melting off pretty fast right now. I think we might survive much to the surprise of the local news casters who were over hyping this storm a wee bit (as they often do).

That is a great pic of you smoking brother. I wish I could sit outside and smoke in the winter here, but it is just to darn cold - I am forced inside my garden shed with blankets and a heater.

We had our storm on the weekend, and got about 2 fet of snow. Its the first real blizzard of the year though, so we really cannot complain.
